Jiffy Lube didn't put oil in the car. DW blames me.

Real men change their own oil. It isn’t hard.

Before you took the car to Jiffy Lube, had she expressed a preference that you use the actual mechanic? Because then she has a point.

Why don't cars have sensors for this?!

But according to OP the shrewish DW also takes the car to Jiffy Lube and apparently nothing bad has ever happened on her watch. She does sound like a piece of work.

They do but OP refuses to answer precious questions about this.

In this order, OP:

1. Hire a lawyer and sue Jiffy Lube.
2. Hire a lawyer and divorce your Karen.
3. Learn to change the oil yourself. I'm old, and I've probably had a mechanic change the oil in my cars three times in my life.

Do oil lights not go on anymore? Or some sort of warning?

There woul certainly be some sort of light, low engine oil etc.

Jiffy lube doesn't ever add transmission fluid even without a leak it still needs a little added to older non closed system cars every few years they distroy transmissions day after day. Never go there.

OP is an idiot, a troll or both. My bet is both.

Poor fake post Troll. Total giveaway.

Lol

Sensors only work if you pay attention to basic things.

Extent of damage?? You need a new engine. Yes, they should pay for a new one.

DW and I disagree about how to proceed (that's a bit of an understatement).

What is your disagreement about how to proceed? How do you want to proceed? Something tells me this is the problem. The only solution is for Jiffy Lube to repair or replace your engine. Of course they’ll try to dodge this. You just push back.

Side question: why do men absolutely sprint into “she’s blaming me, waaaaah!” mode. If you were handling this, there’d be nothing to blame on you. So just handle it. What’s hard about this?

We got an oil change at Jiffy Lube just before Christmas and went out of town. Doing 80 on 95 the undermount cam dislodged. It's about the size of the hood, but covers parts under the car to prevent water damage.

It was a huge PITA. I tried three different times to reconnect it, until finally we pulled into this mom and pop shop and had completely remove it.

JL did make it right without any argument, but still a ridiculous ordeal.
