Does wine count when counting calories?

Drink a box of wine a day and you definitely won't gain weight!

In a dish yes, in a cone no because of all the calories your tongue burns.

Absolutely. If you eat it with a spoon the calories double but it’s calorie free in a cone.

Triple calories directly out of the container.

C’mon OP. It was a pretty funny question.

If you drink enough that you puke, that negates the calorie consumption.

It obviously doesn’t count. Same with drunk cigarettes, you are only immune to the nicotine when you’re drunk

Yes they count. But, on most diets you can sneak in one thing per day that you can’t live without. Like, I will often have a yasso pop or a mini ice cream sandwich after dinner. One glass of wine is similar calories. It’s doable if it’s your one thing.

C’mon OP. It was a pretty moronic question.

Any calories you drink don’t count.

To lose weight it’s just empty calories so that means less energy delivering calories if you are counting. If I were just trying to lose weight I probably would skip dinner now and again and have wine instead.

If you are trying to get in shape alcohol is not an option except for special occasions.

Sucks - but there is no strength/fitness building plan I have found that includes alcohol weekly.

Interesting! So I should chug my wine. Haha

It's not polite to go on about yourself.

The majority of Americans have their head in the sand about how terrible alcohol is for you. And I know- I was one of them!! I have in to the “mommy wine” habit for way too long. I regret that I drank like I did because now at 45 losing the weight is so much harder and I could have been much better off had I not had this habit at 39-42 before my hormones went haywire.

If I could drink and stay in shape (as in physically fit/keep bmi at 20 or lower) I would.

Can you not be fat and drink? Yes.
Can you drink alcohol and still lose weight - sure.

The difference is physical fitness (at a decent level) is not really possible if you drink regularly after your mid 20s or so, males maybe early 30s.

Of course, why wouldn’t it count. Kinda dumb question.

Yes of course.

Or train with box wine. It makes a great weight in a backpack as you run up hills and stairs or do lunges and squats. Perhaps I have tried it.
