I’m in great shape and know a lot of adults who are also. Most drink. Not daily that I know of, but I would say on weekends, a couple glasses wine sat and or sun. That is totally fine for most. |
Nope- and neither does chocolate count |
Only if you drink it with the lights out. If you turn the lights on the calories count. |
How old are you? |
DP. I'm 51 drink and am in fantastic shape. I'm as fit as I was in my 30s. |
Nah, it’s free calories, like cucumbers. Enjoy! |
Same here! I did a half marathon, and drank a bottle of wine the night before. True facts. |
I would hope this is the level of “regular drinking” the person you quoted was referring to. If so, that person is an idiot. Of course some weekend wine is fine. It’s attempting to drink a decent amount nearly every day or every other day that would impact any attempt at any kind of training that’s the real problem. |
I feel like I read something about this embroidered on a pillow in a beach house once. |
^is NOT the level of regular drinking… |
Drinking a “decent amount” daily means you are an alcoholic which affects pretty much every aspect of your life. |
JFC. You can drink every day because you WANT to. You all throw around “alcoholic” on everything. An alcoholic: A chronic disease characterized by uncontrolled drinking and preoccupation with alcohol. Alcoholism is the inability to control drinking due to both a physical and emotional dependence on alcohol. I drank wine almost everyday- stopped when I decided it would be fun to have 6 pack abs and just to see that I could do it. No withdrawal symptoms , no anything when I just stopped. not big impact on my life not to drink other than to ditch the unnecessary calories and metabolism impact. A year later abs are more modest 4 pack and I will have a beer or wine once or twice a month and not return to my “alcoholic” ways of wine at night. |
Of course it doesn’t count!
Whenever I’m craving dessert and don’t want the calories to count, I make my ice cream sundae into a milkshake. And I add a shot of Kahlua for good measure! Surprisingly, despite counting calories fastidiously I have yet to lose any weight. Must be genetic or something. |
Is this real? All calories count. |
It’s obviously your cortisol levels |
