Why don’t you just do cheesesteak for everyone?

The easiest and best is Chick fila sandwiches, we get 2 per boy, pickles on the side, extra chick fila sauce. They will give you a warming bag to keep them warm.

2nd is Chipotle and they can make their own, it's a buffet and they give you everything you need.

We do ziti and chicken parm from an italian restaurant a lot

I don’t really have a budget.

This is for a HS tennis team.

Should I also be buying for parents?

It is meal time and they will also be hungry?

We don’t but parents are asked to bring food to share. If you feel inclined to do so I’d do only 1 sandwich per adult

Pizza is easiest.

Chipotle bar will be the biggest hit but also more complicated

I think trays of sandwiches or pre-made burritos makes the most sense.

I have so far seen pizza, chick fil an and regular sandwiches. Was looking for some other ideas.

I think our family is just very picky. If we went to get sandwiches, everyone wants something very different. Same for chipotle.

What do you mean by "very picky"? If it's that someone doesn't want cheese, that's easy to remove. If you mean you have someone who doesn't eat deli meat, get a veggie option with hummus. Or do you mean you have a level of pickiness where they won't eat the sandwich because it touched a ham sandwich? *Wanting* a special order isn't a problem, but being able to find something to eat when you don't get your special order is the question.

Maybe picky was the wrong word. Our family has preferences.

If we go to chipotle, burrito bowls very different with meat and toppings for one kid, I like a very specific burrito with specific items. One kid wants everything plain. Another wants everything. We all hate beans. If there was any beans in any of our orders, we probably wouldn’t eat it.

For sandwiches, it may be tuna, cheesesteak, Italian. Han and cheese, roast beef. We would never all eat the same thing.

Which is fine for when you go out to eat. In a group setting you don't get to be picky. These are HS kids not toddlers. They can manage even if it's not their favorite.

It's meal time and you're asking if you should have enough food for everyone,? Are you the cheap poster who wants to charge guests $15.00 for Memorial Day cookout! Where serving food you have enough for everyone or you don't serve food.

Will the kids be playing after eating? Something to consider -- a cheese steak might be a little heavy. Same for meatball / chicken parm subs.

We did potbelly for sandwiches or sandwich trays from Wegmans, Safeway, etc. Sometimes we also each placed our own family order at a local Panera and one parent would go and pick them all up to save time.

+1. When it’s group/team meals it is not ok to get something for the masses then something different for your own kid.

Sandwich tray with 2-3 options. If someone is so picky that they can't choose from those options, they should bring their own individual food. This isn't a restaurant, it's a group meal.

Bucket of fried chicken would also be a good option.

If there's a Costco nearby, see if you can make arrangements to pre-order a few dozen prepared hot dogs.

Moes or Chipotle catering to assemble their own bowls and tacos

OP, first want to agree with those who have said the goal is not to have exactly what each person likes but to provide 1) enough food with 2) enough variety that nobody has to starve. Here are a few options:

Costco gyro meat, hummus, costco sized container of pitas, veggies tray, cheese tray that includes Mediterranean-compatible flavors. If somebody is GF they can have meat and cheese and veggies. If somebody is vegan they can have hummus and veg on a pita, vegetarian cheese and hummus and veg on a pita, etc. everybody can find SOMETHING, even if not their fav

Sandwiches:
Several loaves of bread (maybe a GF option too), assorted lunch meats, assorted sliced cheeses, sliced tomatoes and lettuce, mustard and mayo in squeeze bottles.

Salad bowls:
Prerinsed lettuce
Beans
Nuts/seeds
dried fruit
Croutons
Veggie tray
Crumbled feta
Diced chicken (I like the kebabs at Costco)
A few options for dressings

Lay a cheap plastic tablecloth across the bottom of your car trunk and set out the ingredients like a buffet line, with dishes/napkins/flatware first then the ingredients in the order it will be used. Or ask around and have somebody bring a folding table.

OMG no, don't do either of these especially not the salad bowls. PP have you ever been to a sports tournament? You need something already made and easy to eat. Most likely standing up.

It needs to be something they can grab and eat, not assemble.

Assembly is too complicated from the back of a trunk or even a folding table. Waiting behind someone putting on one crouton at a time, someone who takes too much food at once, unhygienic or makes a mess.

Just get a variety sandwich tray that includes wraps, etc. and individual bags of chips, easy.

This is not about your prima Donna kid

Get trays of pre-made food from Wegmans or Costco as others have suggested. This doesn’t have to be difficult.
