Not too old, I mean who cares, really. Gym wear is incredibly forgettable. |

We should stick the following to the top of this forum: "YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO WEAR WHATEVER THE HECK YOU WANT" Because, excuse me, in this age where we are body-positive and accept all sorts of differences, AGE is something that still comes with restrictions?!? We have, and will continue to have, a geriatric President, but a 50+ woman cannot wear skin-tight clothing? No. Not on your life. Stop being such narrow-minded, nasty, ultraconservative biddies. |

Its fine in casual settings. I won't go to a lunch wearing that but if I'm stopping at tge park or grocery store, I don't care. |
The flesh tone pants always give me a chuckle but I don't care what they're wearing. I wouldn't do that but I don't care if you do.
I do think the see through leggings (I know the print of your underwear) are a little off putting in airplanes because it's always that person struggling to put their luggage up |
Basic rule: Be comfortable. As you get older, you need more comfort so go on, wear what works for your lifestyle. I salute young women who started wearing sports bras as tops, without worrying about other people's judgement. |
I'm turning 50 this year. I mostly WFH and live in yoga pants/joggers and will continue to do so because they are comfortable. I'm not going to change into jeans or slacks every time I have to leave the house. The whole concept of your age dictating what is appropriate to wear (once you reach adulthood) is silly to me. If it looks good, makes you feel good and/or it's comfortable, wear it! |
Remember the days when yoga leggings were made out of fabric instead of the blend they are now? I think the fabric made it easier to do poses in as this stretchy shiny fabric bounces back and binds you from going deeper. At this point yoga pants are not as good for yoga as biker shorts and joggers are but young people like the yoga pant and matching sport bra look |
I’ve been practicing yoga for 25+ years and never had that issue! If they bind you from going deeper, perhaps your pants are too tight or just not the right style for you. |
Preach! |
Cher would wear them and she’s almost 80. What kind of shape are you in? That should be the determining factor, not your age. |
I'm 55 and wear leggings all the time on the weekends - but maybe my definition is different than some of yours? They're super-strong Lycra and not remotely see-through. I wear tights under skirts in the winter and that's a totally different thing. |
Not true. |
Frankly, 30 is too old for 99% of women. |
