OP apparently (?) has given up on Biden because of Gaza, not the "open" borders.

Vote for Biden, please, everyone. Please. Do not stay home. Vote for Biden. He has been a generally good president, and his hands are tied WRT Israel. He does not want Palestinian children murdered any more than I do, but he HAS to support Israel.

The only way out of this terrible mess in the Middle East is to VOTE FOR BIDEN. The alternative will be an even worse bloodbath. Among other humanitarian disasters.

Gaza is all Biden, period.

Biden does not run anything. He does not have the mental capacity currently and will not make it 4 more years. His advisors are the ones calling the shots. Harris is a disaster.

Trump sucks too, but I’ll take my chance cos with him.

Your logic is....odd.

But you do you.

"Gaze is all Biden"? Really? How so, that? Does Biden control the Israeli army? I dint know that!!

Where do you think Israel gets there weapons from?

But I just can’t support a guy who is helping conduct a genocide. I’m a white Christian 50 something in Virginia, so it isn’t directly personal to me, but I just can’t do it.

Anyone have any arguments other than “Trump is worse.” I agree, but that alone just isn’t enough anymore.

Clearly you don't care about the Supreme Court and its effect on American lives. We get it.

OP,?you’re making no sense.
Trump would be worse on this. He would classify Gaza along with the sh-hole countries he doesn’t care about. Biden is trying to moderate Netanyahu behind the scenes and is getting slowly more assertive on this. Trump would back pedal entirely.

This is sort of like saying I’m upset about having the flu so I’m going to drive a big glass of bubonic plague. You’re not being rational.

I like when “moderates” (Republicans) advertise that they’re still Republicans and terrible people. Screw all the women. Screw all the Muslims and minorities here. Screw democracy. OP has emoshuns!! And Biden crossed the tipping point so that the Trump voting POS OP will continue to support Trump.

Thanks for not voting for Trump. Don't come to complain if he wins and starts to send more money to Israel and bans Gazans from the US. Because the one thing you could have done to try to have an effect on US policy, you chose not to. So you don't get to cry about Gaza if Trump is elected.

Also, can you share with us your outcry over the plight of Palestinians in Syria?

If you don't see that is enough, I can't help you. Sorry.

You sitting it out may lead to facism in the US. It's personal to you, I assure you.

Well, you are an idiot. In every election many of us choose the lesser of two evils. In the this case, Joe Biden is not evil. Donald Trump is a evil personified and you just voted for Trump. His proposed national ban on abortion won't affect me but it will affect my daughter and if I have to crawl to vote for the candidate who believes that women should have autonomy over their bodies, I will. You disgust me

You will be the first to scream when American soldiers are fighting against Russia because he has invaded Poland as he said he would!

Bulk! White Christians in Virginia are all MAGA antichrist worshipers. Trump is your Golden Calf and you know what happened to those who worshipped that bovine.

You’re not alone. Our republic will wither due to this intransigent, unconditional support of Israel. What a mess.

I am sitting this one out too. I just can't even fathom Joe supporting Israel unconditionally, even blocking UN Security Council resolutions (US was the only country to veto UN Security Council resolutions related to the Gaza issue) on multiple occasions.

He will forever be known as "Genocide Joe". What a terrible legacy after a lifetime in the politics.

Agree. Why are dual citizenship Americans even allowed to hold political office? Just look at the high percentage of the current White House and Capitol Hill have Israeli dual citizenship. Because of them, we are held hostage by Netanyahu.

Wow, you’re really leaning into your antisemitism and Jewish “dual loyalty” bigotry. You go.

OP here. This is what I mean when I say “trump would be worse” is not sufficient. It isn’t a choice between the flu and the plague. Both choices are unacceptable. I really never thought Biden could do anything to make me sit it out.

But why wouldn’t Biden interpret my support as approval for what he has done? He has degraded US leadership and national security for generations to come for … what? For a genocidal warmonger? That is unforgivable.

Trump will be no more of a friend to Palestinians than Biden is, but he will much, much less of a friend to our NATO allies and even to US citizens.

You have 4 choices:

1) Vote for Trump if you want an even more right wing judiciary or further restrictions on abortion or tax cuts for the rich or an administration so pro business that regulations that protect the environment and our health and safety are rolled back, and you aren’t afraid of Trump refusing to leave office at the end of another term.

2) Vote for Biden if those policies are antithetical to your beliefs or you’re concerned about Republican efforts to thwart democracy.

3) Vote for someone other than Trump or Biden if you truly believe that they are equally bad and therefore, the outcome of the election doesn’t matter, but you still want to vote.

4) Sit this one out if you don’t care one way or the other or you know absolutely nothing about anything.

I get it and as an American Jew, I canot stand either Likud or Hamas. I don't like Israel's response to Oct 7.

That said, the GOP would be making no effort to a cease-fire, making no effort to getting the hostages back, no effort to humanitarian aid and certainly no effort to a two-state solution.

So your choice is to sit out because you don't like what Biden is trying to do and instead allow the GOP and its "we support Israel because of The Rapture" and all of the pro-life Christian Nationalism that goes with it.

I tried to hold my nose and follow the path you have outlined (thank you for being rational about it), but it always feels like a wake-up call is necessary to right the ship for the Democratic Party - and yet it never happens. Frustrating …

Then be prepared for a President Trump that never goes away. If you think Putin is bad, Trump will be right there with him.

He supports the border bill that trump tanked. Trump has no intention or plan for immigration. He is full of bull.

Ha,

Trump had remain in Mexico, deportations galore. Illegal immigration was at record lows under Trump!!!!!!!

Biden undid remain In Mexico. Practically announcing to the world to come to the USA. Releasing 8 million illegals and 1 million got aways with no plan. Look at the cites and the billions they are spending, gangs in NYC, people in the streets. Things were actually Good under Trump, border was more secure than it was now.

Obama and Biden had more deportations.

The wall is a mirage and did/does nothing to stop the issue. It need a legislative fix, unless you support authoritarians.

You think candidates assume that people who vote for them agree with them on everything? Gaza is one of hundreds of things on Biden’s plate. A vote for him isn’t an endorsement of every single thing he does.

If you don’t vote for Biden, you’re sending the message that Trump is no worse. Don’t you worry about how that looks?
