It's not just sports. It's also musical season, so it would be a bummer for kids who've worked hard to miss out on one of only a few performances. Plus families have bought tickets, and shows sell out.

Anything's possible. The most likely scenario here is always just wintry mix.

It's a clipper. Those are more reliable than other systems.

Will it lead to canceling activities? I don't know. But it should lead to a couple of pretty inches of snow.

Um no. We still want a full on storm with 6-12 inches and a week off of school. We haven’t had that in years.

2-3" is most likely and it'll be around freezing until 9-10am. While it'll warm up to the upper 30s later in the day, it is likely that school buildings will be closed.
