Yes. This. |
I like all the things everyone posted, and, am dieting, so I'm always excited to see raw veggies and fresh fruit |
Buffalo chicken dip
I love anything on a little crostini like these: https://www.marthastewart.com/911324/crostini-and-brushetta-recipes Something refreshing with cucumber slices topped with yummy stuff. |
Cheese trays, pigs in blanket, Doritos, fruit tray, hummas. |
Fancy cheeses with good crackers, vegetables avail on the side.
Some kind of chocolate dessert (a variety of very small portions is great because I can try several!) Does wine count? |
Pigs in a blanket! |
Those are all so creamy and fatty. I'd love to have olives and/or fresh vegetables too. Something to add acid, or fiber, or freshness to all the rich foods. |
Something hot - pigs in blanket or spinach artichoke dip
Something cold - shrimp cocktail, deviled eggs, or cheese platter Something crispy - spring rolls, bacon wrapped scallops, goat cheese phyllo cups |
Anything with shrimp
A warm dip Lots of freshly cut fruit and veg (and not the precut kind from the store. Those are gross) |
Well, at this point in my life I'm excited to see anything that I'm confident is gluten free. But before I ate gluten:
Lemon bars spinach and artichoke tip with yummy bread in-season fruit |
deviled eggs
baked brie pitcher of martinis |
Just go sit in the driveway in a plastic chair and drink your PBR out of the can. |
I’m happy to eat anything but the OP asked what are we excited about! |
I like to see things that don’t require a lot of handling by the cook. So melons balled or other fruit cut into shapes and put on skewers, I don’t really like. Same with deviled eggs. I just don’t prefer that uncooked foods be handled so much. Same with cheese - put the slabs out and let guests cut their own. |
You don’t want the host to slice the cheese, instead you prefer to have everyone at the party slicing the cheese? |
