Oops, meant this for the Super Bowl thread

cheese board with nuts and grapes
I also really like herring, like the one from IKEA, with dark bread

I'm the poster below you (18:28) and you're my spirit animal. Literally the other things I almost wrote. We should form a supper club!

Lol - I probably cook the same 8-10 dishes. Lots of veggies with broiled cheese

Ok does anyone else get annoyed when people serve hummus at a party? Like I eat hummus and veggies most days as a snack, I want something more interesting/indulgent at a party.

Or plain veggies or any kind.
A healthier alternative to the typically heavy/rich appetizers.

Fun!

Hummus is the absolute lamest party food. Even really good homemade hummus. People should serve anything else.

I love pakoras and all such Indian fried snacks. Also samosas & chaat.
I love a good cheese board with nice accompaniments - fruit, mostarda, good bread, wine.
I also love warm gougeres with rose wine.
And puff pastry based snacks are good too - like baked with tapenade or pesto.

If I saw warm gougeres at a party I would not be able to control my excitement.

I disagree. We have a lot of vegetarians in our crowd and hummus and veggies always gets eaten, especially when mixing at meat eaters' houses when the options are hummus/veg, pigs in a blanket and grape jelly meatballs. Hummus always gets eaten first.

My SIL makes a warm hummus feta dip that is really special.

I love hummus and veggies at a party. I’m lactose intolerant and love cheese but can only eat it when I’m home.

Nice cheese, deviled eggs, something sweet
