First Time Weight Watchers

I’m 56 and lost 10 lbs this year.

I get 19 pts a day.

I don’t count my workouts nor do I use my flex points.

I hope to lose 5-10 more.

I use the app and mostly eat fruit, veggies, eggs and chicken … which get boring.

Dressing, Sour dough bread, Rice and potatoes are most of my points.

I make my own salad dressing the 0pts options I don’t like

I actually really hate the new WW. It's very weighted in favor of high protein foods, which does not work for me. I do not want to eat a banana-egg microwave mug cake for breakfast. I miss the old plan where I could eat brown rice and whole grains without having them be 5-6 points.

So do you need WW if you know how the old system worked for you? Just do that again. Or see a nutritionist to set up a comparable plan and follow that.

Hey all I just found 1 point peanut butter cups at Target! I did lose weight when following it though. Can't get myself to do it right now..

You're doing it wrong. I've been on WW for two years now and don't eat any of the processed stuff. I eat a ton of fruits and veggies coupled with mostly lean meats. i eat good carbs like sourdough bread and sweet potatoes and rice (in moderation). I don't eat processed sugars.

I noted that I could ignore all of that... Congrats to you.

I started WW 1-1-23, a few months before I turned 50. I needed to lose the 20 lbs I put on during COVID. I never dieted in my life, until then. It was a very slow process even as I tracked every single thing I ate or drank. It took 3 months but I reached that goal and have kept it off. The most I've rebounded has been 6 lbs and when that happens I go back to tracking and I slowly take it off.

It's not rocket science, you just have to eat well, move and track it.
