Michelle Rhee would be great for MCPS!

Her or Joe Clark, from beyond.

Who is current Associate Super? Wasn't this the role McKnight had prior to Acting Super? So could they promote the Assoc Super?

McKnight had been the deputy super. The current acting deputy super is Betty Collins, one of the people McKnight brought out of retirement to fill in.

So she was waiting until JB got more leadership experience to have him be her successor. (some sarcasm here)

It was Dr. Patrick Murphy, who she made take the fall for Beidleman, assuming his firing would be enough to appease the board. That turned out to be wrong.

And there is Brian Hull, COO, who was acting when she was in medical leave.

I think they need to get a clean up expert fron outside of MCPS.

Get out of the cesspool. Bring in an outsider. Ideally someone from outside of the DC area. Bring in new ideas and solutions. Same old, same old, isn't working.

She gets to choose from the final 2 candidates presented to her for each of those positions. And everyone below her in the appointment process is also in an “acting” role so they also have to interview to keep their jobs next year which IMO creates a conflict of interest. So the web will continue to tangle.

Principal Interns are interviewing for permanent roles now? In January? That seems very early compared to when I last checked and it’s a huge conflict of interest.

Interns haven't even finished their internship BUT 19 openings is an all the high at this stage in the year. By June, there will be at least 7-8 more. Principals who are still left and are seeing their professions tarnished by this horrible situation will not stay much longer. Many principals are appalled at what is currently happening.

Then why don't they speak out? At the MCEA forcefully and publicly condemns McKnight's mess. MCAAP has only done so once or twice and it was mainly about their dissatisfaction with regard to their upcoming annual meeting with her.

Look who runs MCAAP.

Removed principal after locker room rape.

Brian Hull is just as bad as McKnight. He was directly implicated in the Beidleman scandal, according to Khalid Walker's story in MoCo 360.

True. Christine Handy is a mess. I don't know why the education industry is determined to prop up failures instead of purging them.

I think you all are mixing up two different people/cases. MCAAP president Handy was principal at Gaithersburg. Crouse was principal at Damascus.

Outsider for sure. But who will want this mess of a job, with this Board?
