| Who actually wants this job? No wonder we are where we are now. |
Still better then McKnight |
| I would trust my kid’s crossing guard as supe over any of these people and probably over whomever they actually pick. |
Navarro launched the "Restorative Justice" program in 2016. https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/OLO/Resources/Files/2016%20Reports/School%20to%20Prison%20Pipeline%20with%20CAO%20Response%2020166.pdf But I don't think that's why Navarro was brought back. McKnight and Navarro signed off on a lot of CFP and DofEd complaints together when Navarro was the Chief Academic Officer. My guess is McKnight is worried someone will go through the old files if she's ousted. Two of the complaints in particular were way worse than this Principal sexual complaint. I'm guessing she's worried if those old records hit the news? |
| They’ll have to do a national search even if they have someone in mind. Whether or not outsiders apply is another story. |
You're conflating Maria Navarro, former Chief Academic Officer, with Nancy Navarro, former BOE and County Council president. Nancy Navarro is the one McKnight recently hired. |
Yes, mixing up people with the same last name. On another note, if something worse occurred, why hasn't that hit the news, especially now? |
| Jen Webster would be an outstanding superintendent if she could be persuaded to come back. |
| It seems odd that half of these suggestions are far-right crackpots. |
Maria Navarro (NOT Nancy) would be amazing. There are also a lot of young, visionary, up and coming superintendents that would be great options. They need to do a nationwide search and start it ASAP. |
Agreed. Maria Navarro is very smart and she's got a good grasp on the needs at MCPS from her time here. I would wholeheartedly support her as a candidate if Charles County would give her up. |
McK was the best we've had in years. |
Isn't her sole focus equity, which today means removing opportunities? We need to go in a different direction. |
She she was excellent at covering up sexual abuse of students! Let’s get her back! |
The data and outcomes associated with MCPS seems to say otherwise. But something tells me that facts don't matter to you. |
