MCPS let an outstanding leader get away when Brenda Lewis left. She is now superintendent of Fridley, MN public schools.

You are mixing up your Navarros. Nancy Navarro was on the county council and is now a consultant for MCPS. Maria Navarro, now super in Charles County, was the Chief Academic Officer, at least until Smith promoted McKnight, M. Navarro's subordinate, to be Maria Navarro's supervisor. |
| Do not bring back any that left for Charles County. Let them be where they are. No thanks. |
| News that Renay - Principal is retiring from Blair. Is she retiring from MCPS? Her as the next Super? |
Yeah, she’s retiring but she wouldn’t want the super role. Dr. Peggy Pugh is the current Chief Academic Officer, so maybe she’d be an interim choice while they look for a permanent candidate. |
Why? |
Um, not that it wasn't consentual, but... |
| Can the new Super be hired already? Teachers need to make copier paper. Bring in a qualified adult from outside to lead. |
Pugh has solid credentials. Glad that we have a permanent administrator already in the system who could take over. |
It will take them at least six months to hire a new super, maybe even a year. |

| MCPS should expand its search by attempting to capture from each region of the US. Bring someone from Beverly Hills, CA [West Coast] Boston [East Coast] or Boulder [Mountain region] or Milwaukee or similar city populations. |
Jack Smith will run the "search." It will done in 6 weeks. |
She is not good. So not good that when she tried to return to Washington County a few months ago, their Board voted no on her appointment. |
And he will put himself back in charge. |
