Too thin? At what point to friends intervene. Nicole Kidman allegedly is “too thin “

Teenager??

Not to me but she isn't supposed to either. You can only be immaculate for so long. It does feel like she aged a lot over night (like Anniston) but really they are aging, a normal biological occurrence. She is still beautiful but I think her style of roles will have her leaning into plastic procedures more than a naturally aging actress like Vanessa Redgrave.

Hey fellow teens! She looks like Judi Dench's head on Ariana Grande's body and I'd still pay thousands to look like that.

Nicole still plays 40ish-year-olds in her roles. It makes sense for her to try to maintain a youthful energy.

She's tall and normal weight. This is what normal looks like.

Aging is not for the faint of heart.

I think the exact opposite- especially as people are aging.

Agree. On a 25 year old, very thin looks better than even slightly overweight, but not true once you are over 45 or so.

She is beautiful! You are all jealous because you aren't as beautiful as she is. Get a life

A really high percentage of middle-aged white women I know have really bad stomach issues like IBS and end up with limited diets. I was always thinner than my sister but in her 40s she suddenly got horrific gut problems, after a bad infection (hospitalized), that have left her totally unable to eat gluten and dairy. So now she's way thinner than I am. She basically has to eat a crazy healthy diet of lean proteins and vegetables, or she's disabled (she was out of work for a year before the doctors came up with this plan for her). That's an extreme example, but I know a lot of women with some variation of this. Almost all the middle aged women I know that are extremely thin have some sort of stomach/gut issue that is leading to restricted eating. Of course, I'm sure some of the stars do it because of social pressure, but I think the medical stuff is under-recognized.

I think she looks great--slim, yes, but also toned. (She has always been slim, but she now looks more toned than in the past.)

I disagree. I have met a lot of women over 45 who are very thin and I think it looks good on them. Also for a lot of people, it's not possible to just put on 5-10 pounds. Many people are kind of programmed for thinness and the only way they are gaining weight is through unhealthy eating and putting on a lot of weight. Trust me, it would not improve their appearance.

Yes, this is real. I developed both kidney stones and IBS in my early 40s (thought it was just stones at first but then treatment for them didn't resolve my gut issues and I had to change my diet even more). My body does not process dairy or fat very well anymore, which sucks. I should probably also reduce gluten but I love bread and pastries too much to give them up so I accept the gut discomfort to keep them in my diet to some degree.

So I've lost weight in the last two years and everyone assumes it's on purpose but it's not -- I was not unhappy with my appearance before. It's just related to medical issues. People think you're lying if you say that though, so I say nothing. I give up. People love judging other people's bodies.

Agree. I have had these types of issues after food poisoning and don’t need the comments about being too thin.

Do you think this is what’s happened to Nichole?

Maybe trying too hard to be youthful.

She is trying way too hard to look like she’s 25. She’s hard to watch now because of plastic face. Even that thin she has that slight bloat down the middle of her waist with the ribs on both sides. Not a flattering dress at all.

Eh, she’s kind of ugly.
