Actually, it was a mutual evolution between the cow and the human. So yes, those of us with the appropriate mutation are designed to eat dairy. |
So true. I haven't eaten fake meat since my college years, and I gained 20 lbs from bad eating habits. |
Shut up, skinny mini bitsh. |
A flatulence is a sign of a very healthy microbiome, working as it should to process plant foods. Saturated fat and refined sugar feeds the worst bacteria in the colon which in turn feeds inflammatory processes in the body. Resistant starches and fiber - from a variety of plant foods - feed the good bacteria in the colon and in turn creates short chain fatty acids which are essential for optimal health. SCFAs are believed to be critical in preventing or reversing insulin resistance and the consequent metabolic disorders that damage health and limit life. I’m an omnivore still - I consume eggs and some dairy, chicken and occasionally shrimp. But I’ve cut fried foods, ultra processed foods, beef and pork and most cheeses, and I eat tons more fruit veggies whole grains legumes nuts and seeds. I am more flatulent than previously but it feels great and I’ve enjoyed joining the farters and belchers when previously I just couldn’t - because my microbiome was sick and sluggish from fat and sugar. The most remarkable thing I’ve experienced from meeting or exceeding the RDA for fiber daily is that the hunger signals have just shut way down. So it appears fiber works just like semaglutide but without the side effects and no risk of potential permanent gut paralysis, no thanks! |
there is a big effort right now to push the vegan diet. Watch the twin nutrition study… completely pushes vegan. |
I eat plant based but eat meat, not fake meat. The American diet is sad. |
Are you the same poster that keeps talking about their beautiful bms in all these threads? You sound insufferable. |
Yuck this is so gross! Also I am a healthy, thin person who eats plenty of veggies, meat and legumes and I am not "flatulent" 😂. You probably aren't preparing the legumes and veggies correctly. |
I watched this… I agree it was pushing vegan, but the results seemed to suggest the twin that ate meat had better outcomes. They tried to hide it by claiming the vegan twins either cheated on their diet or weren’t committed to the study. |
I agree fart lady is weird.
We eat a lot more plant based food now. The main difference I have noticed is the volume needs to be higher because it isn’t that calorie dense. And consistent fiber and vegetables does keep the train running We still eat a lot of meat but just not as much red meat. Mostly because what we like doesn’t call for it and more expense red meat is, well, expensive. |
Fiber is not an essential nutrient. In fact it inflames our gut so less is better and none is best as long as you are not eating any processed carbs (including disgusting fake meat - have you read the ingredients, gross!) |
Anyone who thinks flatulence is gross has an emotionally constipated child mind. I'm sorry for you that you are that person. |
Fiber is not an essential nutrient but it IS essential for optimal health. It is just plain stupidity to suggest otherwise - ask ANY gastroenterologist whether a diet absent fiber is a healthy diet. We evolved for millions of years eating diets almost exclusively composed of fiber - fruits and vegetables. Humans have the same dentition of apes, which eat fruits almost exclusively. You've been swilling the keto or carnivore cultspeak, I suspect. Your arteries are probably half occluded by saturated fats. |
My most overweight friend has been a vegan her entire life. ![]() |
