I eat a lot of plant based foods and I’m constantly farting. Can’t imagine adding more beans on top of this. It’s almost like they weren’t meant to be digested by the human body.
A flatulence is a sign of a very healthy microbiome, working as it should to process plant foods. Saturated fat and refined sugar feeds the worst bacteria in the colon which in turn feeds inflammatory processes in the body. Resistant starches and fiber - from a variety of plant foods - feed the good bacteria in the colon and in turn creates short chain fatty acids which are essential for optimal health. SCFAs are believed to be critical in preventing or reversing insulin resistance and the consequent metabolic disorders that damage health and limit life. I’m an omnivore still - I consume eggs and some dairy, chicken and occasionally shrimp. But I’ve cut fried foods, ultra processed foods, beef and pork and most cheeses, and I eat tons more fruit veggies whole grains legumes nuts and seeds. I am more flatulent than previously but it feels great and I’ve enjoyed joining the farters and belchers when previously I just couldn’t - because my microbiome was sick and sluggish from fat and sugar. The most remarkable thing I’ve experienced from meeting or exceeding the RDA for fiber daily is that the hunger signals have just shut way down. So it appears fiber works just like semaglutide but without the side effects and no risk of potential permanent gut paralysis, no thanks!
Yuck this is so gross! Also I am a healthy, thin person who eats plenty of veggies, meat and legumes and I am not "flatulent" 😂. You probably aren't preparing the legumes and veggies correctly.
