LOL. One of my neighbors was/is so petty, he actually stole the emblem off the other neighbors posh car - when the neighbor with the posh car was parked in front of their own house! People are messed up in the head. I would feel bad for them, but they are beyond repair, it seems.

What if somebody is just going the speed limit?? I think it’s odd to go the speed limit to get back at somebody but it really is okay to go the speed limit in the right lane or when it’s one lane. I always go the speed limit if it’s 25 mph because it’s low for a good reason and it’s irritating when people tailgate me because they are clearly frustrated about it. Going 30 in a residential neighborhood is what is unsafe, not going the speed limit.

Generally I agree, but you have to pace yourself with the majority of the traffic. If everyone is going 10 mph over the speed limit except for you, you are the one more likely to cause an accident.

Nope. That’s not what the law says. Again plan your time better.

I'm less concerned about the law than about not causing an accident. And if you think police are going to ticket everyone, when everyone is speeding, you're wrong. It's funny to me that you're saying "plan your time better" because I am actually a cautious and slow driver, but when literally every car on the road is passing me, I realize that I better speed up a bit.

Where I live, there is a 2 lane, double yellow line road that is very curvy and the speed limit is 25. People routinely drive like maniacs on this road and as a result, there are some places where people who want to turn either on or off the road have difficulty.

I have to utilize one of these intersections daily. So, when I get on that road, I become "speed limit joe" and set the cruise control to 25. Usually, folks behind adjust and back off and settle in. Some will tailgate... some will tailgate and then if the opportunity arises, will risk passing over the double yellow - but because of the traffic on this road, it's not typically an option.

All this is all not that unusual - but here's my "chef's kiss" - if I have a really persistent and aggressive tailgater, I will intentionally miss my turn and take the extra time to remain in front of them on this road until they have to turn.
