The issue with going slow, or holding up traffic, or not using the left lane for passing only is that you are a liability. In many states and jurisdictions, it is considered aggressive driving and punishable by law. Seems many of you need driving school. NP here.
You might be including me in those who need driving school. I do not, and I would guess that posters here agree more than they disagree. The poster who does the passive aggressive thing about slowing down does not do it in the left lane. Nobody is advocating for that. Except in the case of going slowly in the passing lane so that cars are passing you on the right, going the speed limit is never illegal. You can even go *under* the speed limit, even if you are slowing things down, if you are using flashers. Unless I'm on a residential road I try not to hold up traffic. Like, I will slow way down if it's a short passing lane, and I always go at least five over on freeways. But people really do need to get a grip and be more patient. To say the people going the speed limit are the ones causing accidents is absurd.
You are being a passive aggressive driver, and that is punishable by law in many states and jurisdictions.
