Just leave it blank |
How does knowing race matter for financial aid? Financial aid is based on finances. If a kid wants to apply for a race-based scholarship then they can. |
I can't spell everything out for you. Whether or not you like it, stats are kept. |
That is not what PP suggested. PP suggested lying, hence jeopardizing their DC's future. I mean, after all that test prep, you would think they learned something. |

1) Don’t lie. Leave blank if you don’t want to answer.
2) For those saying ethnicity/race do not matter more than half the schools my kid looked at on Naviance have it as a factor that has MORE weight than her GPA. So she is supposed to believe that they all just forgot to remove after SCOTUS ruling, yeah right. Sample: Application Factors These are the factors that XXX College considers when evaluating applicants. Very Important Character/Personal Qualities Curriculum Rigor/School Record Ethnicity Interview Recommendations Work Experience Important GPA |
| Honestly, your best bet is to move to the middle of nowhere, but no one wants to do that. |
| How will XXX College consider ethnicity when the application does not include ethnicity? How are they supposed to know that "Kevin Santos" is Filipino and ethnically 75% Chinese? You're starting to sound like you're battling ghosts and shadows. |
so, OP should put Black/African American, and see what happens. Then if they get caught, they say, "Oh, oops, we must've fat fingered, and didn't pay attention since SCOTUS ruling indicated that race cannot be a factor". then see what happens. |
Well, the students that I know admitted to reaches certainly have worked their minority ethnicity raw. But they are definitely NOT lying, because they do not want their kid thrown out of school, if that is what you are asking. |
Just go for broke and write it in your essays as well. And don't forget to "fat finger" the FAFSA and CSS applications while you're at it. |
You are not listening. Colleges do not play around with that, at all, and excuses are not accepted. Colleges know that this is a hot topic, and act accordingly - they are not stupid, they will throw your kid out of school, with a notation on their transcript (there is a term for it - essentially lying on a pertinent application document). No lawyer in the world will get you out of lying on the application documents, but you can certainly pay thousands to try. You will not get into another school and/or your diploma will be rescinded. But have at it! |
Excellent. Federal Offense. Why not? |
Unless the school thinks they are lying, then a legal defense would get expensive. |
It’s the esssys ppl…. Have you not read the prompts this year? Wtf….so clueless. |
Checkmated by the first amendment. |
