Google it — there’s a vox article that lays it all out. Or if you have more time there is a classic dcum thread where the whole thing unravels in real time. It’s a real page turner. At least one of the news articles actually cited the thread. I think she’s really mentally ill, not just a grifter. And Alec is in a weird codependent thing with her. It’s really sad. He was really talented although I guess not a great person. Ow he just seems pathetic and trapped. Imagine what his character Jack Donehy from 30 Rock would have said….

I cannot believe you missed this somehow. I'm not super into celeb gossip generally but this one was so wild I definitely followed it. The craziest part to me is that after it was all uncovered, Hilary and Alec just continued on with their lives. Like she maintains the ruse. It's baffling.

I would 100% watch at least one episode of a reality show about them just to see if they kept it up or tried to address it or what. It would probably wind up being boring, but I think it would get a ton of eyeballs just to see if it was a train wreck, at least at first.
