Alec and Hilaria - Reality TV Show

You gotta hand it to them - the kids are absolutely beautiful.

The poor kids. A wackadoodle mother and an old man for a dad.

Eh. They are cute as all kids are. One thing I will hand to them…those Baldwin genes are strong. They are carbon copies of one another when they are little. Bald, blue eyes, ultra white skin. No wonder Alec can’t tell their baby pictures apart.

Agree. The kids are cute in the way kids are cute, especially when carefully tended by nannies who dress then in coordinated outfits and make sure their hair looks nice and clean up drool and stains.

A LOT of the appeal of their family in photos comes from having lots of similar looking kids in similar looking outfits with soft lighting and skilled photographers.

It's like how the Kardashians take really gorgeous photos as a group even though many of them are kind of homely. Professional makeup/styling plus repetition-- it's eye pleasing.

Just watched that clip. So her accent comes and goes? If you are married to a faker, do you address it or just understand that it's Hollywood, all makebelive and keep popping out the babies iwth your old man seed?

The accent really comes and goes in that post. Why/how Alec realized she was not actually Spanish, and how he reconciled himself to this oddness is possibly the most interesting part of the story. You’d think most rich and famous men would be mad they’d been duped, right?

This is the biggest mystery. Was he fooled? Did he know and go along with the ac? I would love to know. She did legally change her name to Hilaria and used the Spanish accent before she met him so she brought that to the relationship.

I think he was genuinely fooled. Even in the police interview for RUST shooting he said “my wife is from Spain”. It’s ingrained into his brain.

She knew he wanted /asked out Selma Hayek. She turned him down. Instead he got the bargain basement version of a Spanish woman. The “boobie prize”. Figuratively and literally.

He dug in and said she was educated in both places, her grandmother was Spanish, most of her childhood was in Spain. This was after griftmas. I think she was throwing things to the wall to see what stuck.

He can’t let himself admit he was duped. Too humiliating

Dude. She’s pretty, from good stock (Boston, private schools, well off family), and has given him an army of beautiful children. He. Does. Not. Care. (Probably also because he’s an actor, they are professional liars themselves.)

1,000% this.

But Alec Baldwin actually thinks he's above all of this. He likes to think of himself as someone like Robert Redford, or at least Michael Douglas.
In truth, he's an alcoholic with an anger management problem, got duped by a batshit crazy woman, and if that wasn't bad enough, he's now responsible for a woman's death. The whole world is laughing at him, and unlike his wife, he's not delusional. Before he married "Hilaria", he probably imagined marrying a beautiful, interesting, and sexy/classy woman...sort of like Deandra Douglas (actually from Mallorca!) meets CZJ, with a bit of Salma on top...having two kids and running for office. Now he's stuck with Hilaria, who, even if she was who she says she is, is basically just another trashy influencer, and like eight kids whose names he can't pronounce. It's all so embarrassing.

This is what I find so interesting about Los Baldwinitos. It's almost Shakespearean, the way he thought of himself as an elite, cultured intellectual, and he got hoodwinked by a college dropout grifter with a fabricated backstory and fake accent. And if it stopped there, it probably would have lost my interest but it's like there's this unending spring of tragedy and humiliation that continues to bubble forth from this one mistake.

I think it’s particularly tragic that no one in his life is close enough and trusted enough to take him aside and say: hey man, did you notice this woman is insane?

The whole thing reminds me of then Michael dates Rita on Arrested Development.

I don't think anyone can or should. At this point, they are married with 7 kids and the honorable thing for him to do is carry on as a husband and dad. I don't think there is an escape hatch for him. And even if he found one, it would probably lead to something even darker.

The escape hatch is to leave the public eye and raise the kids in relative anonymity. They have the financial resources to do this. The argument against that could be that he's an actor and entitled to continue his craft for personal or financial fulfillment and that's true, but it means continued scrutiny and interest in this bizarre situation. That's probably not the best option for the children.

Is there anyone who would actually waste time watching this??!!

He belittled his mother in his book:

“… The woman, believing that it held magical weight-loss potential, drank rivers of Tab. If slimming was her goal, it was to no effect. Each successive choice to have six kids in eleven years left her body wracked. From the bottom of her rib cage to the top of her pelvis, any muscular fiber was gone. When she coughed or laughed, her stomach, beneath her sheer bedclothes, seemed to
ripple like water.”

☝️☝️☝️ right here is why Hillary used surrogacy after Carmen. Her first pregnancy pics vs the rest are just an obvious fraud.

I can't believe he wrote such a horrible description of his own mother. He is one disturbed dude.

+1 that is messed up. What a tool

Is Salma Hayek still pretending she doesn’t speak English after growing up in the US and attending US private schools? It’s Hollywood, baby.

So since people keep saying this, I looked it up. She was sent to a Catholic boarding school in the US at age 12. She told Oprah that she was there for two years. Some source says she was expelled after two years and went back to Mexico, and that was the beginning of her losing her Catholic faith. Other sources say she started college in Mexico at 16.

I could not find ANY source that claimed she grew up in US or attended more than that one boarding school.

Yes, there is no comparison. Salma Hayek was born in Mexico, became a star on Mexican telenovela shows, and Spanish is her native language. There is video everywhere of Salma speaking Spanish extensively - try to find that from Hilaria, and you won't (she actually doesn't speak Spanish very well, although she has a passable accent). Salma's Spanish accent in English is completely authentic and doesn't change from time to time or interview to interview. Hilaria's accent, since it is made up, comes in and out and sounds like a native English speaker (again, with a fairly good ear) imitating the accent of a Spaniard.

This is what I find so interesting, the fact that Hilaria does not speak Spanish well at all.
There are a handful of clips of her speaking very basic Spanish and making mistakes. Why doesn’t someone invite her to do a podcast or interview in Spanish? There is no way she could. It’s all just so crazy!

They did. The interviewer had to switch to English because Hillary couldn’t keep up the ruse. I will try to find it.

They are kids, as beautiful as kids always are.

But it's disturbing that they write things like "f--k ya poop" on the walls. That's feral gangbanger stuff.

They don't have to maintain the current lifestyle. Downshifting to a simpler lifestyle might be better for the children, especially if the alternative is to become a reality show.
