Tell me you don’t understand how private schools work without telling me you don’t understand how private schools work.

DP. Please clarify. Do you not think private schools benefitted from more kids and FCPS doing everything in its power to make them look better in comparison?

This does not make sense.

You are totally out of line. I didn't have kids until I was 42 but I was fully invested in my community and fully committed to public education (even taught for 7 years before burning out) so I cared deeply about the school system long before I had kids. You don't have to spawn to care about good schools. In fact, since he isn't distracted by child rearing, he has more time to devote to the work.

Every time I see people commenting on Frisch not having kids, it reads to me like an anti-gay dog whistle.

FWIW, my understanding is that his husband is a teacher. So that gives him even more skin in the game than a parent, and more quality knowledge from the reality inside a school and the system at large. I'd take that as a personal family qualification more than being the random parent of a 5th grader.

Just because someone’s husband is a teacher does not make them a teacher.
My hubby is a special agent with the feds, does not make me a special agent.
People on the board should have an education background like a teacher or have a child in the school district.

EVERY SINGLE TIME anyone criticizes Karl Frisch someone comes on here claiming homophobia. This criticism has absolutely nothing to do with his sexual orientation. This guy is so VERY clearly just a political hack who is using the school board as a stepping stone into state politics (and maybe some day national politics). Just like his friend Dalia. I've posted this before but when he was going door to door, he LIED to me and said he had children in FCPS. Flat out lied. I am so ashamed that I voted for him.

More like tell me you don't know anything about Falls Church without telling me you don't know anything about Falls Church. Sweetheart, a lot of local private schools added seats since Covid.

His husband comes from money and likely has wealthy friends donating to him.

It’s so weird to me that he would want to run and multiple times. What type of person wants to do that when none of their life revolves around education or kids?

What else is he going to do? It’s the only office available to him now.

He’ll skip many meetings if re-elected, ignore constituents, make more incredibly stupid proposals, and jump at the first chance to run for another office. It’s obscene just how bad you can be in Fairfax and still get elected simply because you had a “D” next to your name or got endorsed by the FCDC.

This is an excellent point.

Wait - Frisch has no educational experience or background, does not have any children, is not from FFX county, and does not even have a college degree?

Why is this person directing our children’s education then? It does not make any sense.

He doesn't sant to be on the school board. He is using it to run for higher office.

I find it hilarious that Karl Frisch donated $25 to Melanie Meren's campaign.
