Well, his entire career since HS has been as a political operative of some sort, so I would guess that he has more knowledge and connections into fundraising than many of the other candidates. This is also why I don't really trust him. He is not in it for the kids (especially since he does not have any of his own) but for himself.

I didn't have kids until I was 42 but I was fully invested in my community and fully committed to public education (even taught for 7 years before burning out) so I cared deeply about the school system long before I had kids. You don't have to spawn to care about good schools. In fact, since he isn't distracted by child rearing, he has more time to devote to the work.

Every time I see people commenting on Frisch not having kids, it reads to me like an anti-gay dog whistle.

Not PP but I agree. I also don’t like Omeish. I think people without kids that join SB are in it for the politics not because they don’t have skin in the game with their kids at school. I think voters should avoid selecting candidates without kids in the schools.

All this money and I still hear about how schools are moving forward with skills based grading and teachers are leaving. It doesn’t seem to be improving education in Fairfax Couty

If Frisch doesn’t want to get criticized maybe he should have done something useful for his constituents - not wasted tens of millions in taxpayer money on a new elementary school in Dunn Loring that no one was asking for in order to save a dog park. The guy is a total idiot and slimeball, but other Democrats put up with him, even they they refer to him as not trustworthy in private communications, because he rakes in contributions from LBGTQ donors on both coasts and a lot of that money gets redistributed to other candidates. You don’t need $370K to win a local race when your opponent will be lucky to crack $10K.

He’ll probably win and we’ll get four more years of his stupidity and bad decisions before he runs for some other office, but the guy is one more reason why FCPS is tanking. He has no real interest in academics.
