It is absolutely misleading to tell people that something has the "earmarks" of a disinformation campaign when you have not reviewed any intelligence about it. That is a lie by giving people the incorrect impression about how intelligence officials make these judgments. They don't have some kind of 6th sense about disinformation. They would need to know something about the source of the information to make that judgement, and they don't have any access to information about the source of it. This is literally basic, common sense.

They allowed the letter from the former intelligence officials to circulate when they KNEW the letter was a lie.
They were absolutely under obligation to correct the record once people - WHO USED THEIR POSITIONS OF OFFICIAL STATUS TO GIVE THE LETTER CREDIBILITY - made claims that were blatantly false. A letter orchestrated by Antony Blinken himself.... part of the Biden campaign.

So, it is AOK for a bunch of former intelligence people to influence the election without interference.

This just isn't true. The FBI doesn't have the authority to follow around all the people who quit or retire and publicly fact check them. That's absurd.

How can a campaign interfere in an election? That makes no sense. The whole point of campaign is to influence the election.

What is lie in the letter from the intel officials? Post the exact quote that is a lie.

In their letter, they specifically claimed the FBI is investigating. This is where the FBI SHOULD have issued a statement instead of letting this lie fester.

No they didn’t. In fact a lot of the info attributed to the “laptop” may in fact be Russian disinfo. We don’t know what the FBI version looks like but the media versions clearly have fake stuff added to them.

Good Lord. You are so uninformed. This thread is all about how testimony proved that they KNEW the laptop was authentic back when the NY Post wrote the story.
