What an adorable (and very Barbie) luggage set.

A few of my favorites:

I had seen the black dress but not any of the others - thanks for posting all the pics everyone! And is it me or does she look a little like Denise Richards in the first picture here?

How is this still going on? Must be the longest lead up ever. Agree that it’s fun and cute but personally wish this was a brand that died and never came back.

Absolutely love it. The best thing in life is to see creativity and that zing! These outfits and Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are just workin’ it. These outfits give me strong and awesome 90’s vibes in the best way. And Margot Robbie looks AMAZING. I wonder what her skin and makeup routine is. She is just glowing.

Here are a few other pics. And thanks to pp for pointing out Ryan Gosling's outfits! I love that he's playing along too!

It is "unexpected" because it doesn't follow your agenda--but whatever you really are just speaking your thoughts out loud and talking to yourself, no real person cares about outfits an actress wears to promote a movie to make money for a studio

Oh sh$t am I not a real person? How am I going to break this to my kids…
Thanks for letting me know this important info PP! You are a Good Samaritan.

Yes. me too.

Same. I was excited to see it until I couldn’t avoid it being EVERYWHERE.

You…couldn’t avoid clicking on a thread about the movie you want to avoid?

How very interesting.

The PP is upset that all her paranoid “guerilla marketing” posts got deleted

Anonymous wrote:I love it. I love people who can have a sense of humor about clothes.

During covid, my DH and I doubled down on ridiculous but fun lounge clothes for hanging around the house - we have all these insane floral matching sets, house dresses, and other fun things that when we put on, it means work is done for the day. We were explaining this to my BIL recently, and he just could not wrap his head around why we'd do this. He wasn't judgey; just didn't understand why clothes could be fun.

So I am totally digging her take on this. And to the PP above, no I don't think I'll ever get sick of barbie, at least not the fashion.

That’s…awesome.

OMG. I totally agree.

The part that sucks for me is that I've LOVED this lead up but it has stopped because of the actors' strike.

Yes, movie promotions have stopped because of the actors union strike. My impression is that they tried to do as much marketing as they could last week to hedge against a potential strike.

Anonymous wrote:This is my favorite. This was the last Barbie I got (although I had the brunette version) when I was arguably a little too old for Barbies but I really, really wanted one more.

I love that she crimped her hair!! Was the brunette doll Skipper?

No, Skipper was always slightly smaller and flatter chested. I don’t think it was Whitney (though I defffffinitely had a Whitney doll from a few years before this!); the internet says it may have been “Teresa.”

+1

It’s a genius way to promote when she can’t do red carpets and the like. And bonus points, I believe she still fronts for Chanel and that jacket and those pumps are pure and obvious Chanel.

I look for ways to post my favorite SNL clips and this is my favorite Margot Robbie one:

This was one of my most sought-after Barbie outfits. Most people had stopped playing with Barbie when it came out (1986...that's a calculator, not a cell phone), but I didn't care. I loved is so much. Seeing Marot in it made me laugh. Cheers to her stylist.

I got this doll as a reward for a medical event. I loved this doll.
