Barbie press tour Margot Robbie fashion appreciation thread

Is anyone else following Margot Robbie's fashion choices on the Barbie press tour? I am loving all of her looks! So refreshing to see someone not taking fashion so seriously and just have fun with the Barbie theme. Her stylist/constume designer nailed it.

A few of my favorites:

She's adorable but is anyone else over Barbie? They peaked too soon and the buzz wore off. I'm getting kind of sick of Barbie pink tbh

Yes, I love that all the outfits are actual Barbie outfits. She apparently left her former stylist right before the press tour, and the new stylist is killing it.

I love it. I love people who can have a sense of humor about clothes.

During covid, my DH and I doubled down on ridiculous but fun lounge clothes for hanging around the house - we have all these insane floral matching sets, house dresses, and other fun things that when we put on, it means work is done for the day. We were explaining this to my BIL recently, and he just could not wrap his head around why we'd do this. He wasn't judgey; just didn't understand why clothes could be fun.

So I am totally digging her take on this. And to the PP above, no I don't think I'll ever get sick of barbie, at least not the fashion.

I really can't wait to see this movie, and I didn't even play with Barbies as a kid. It just seems like everyone involved is having such a great time.

No. You have a really short attention span.

I assume the tour is over because of the strike?

Yes, they’re doing a great job. I loathed the doll as a kid, but I want to see the movie! And the cinema trailer was awesome: the one with the Odyssey 2001 theme.

I think that’s what’s making me want to see the movie as well… everything these days seems like a dour money making enterprise including children’s movies, but this just looks like fun, and the people involved understand that they are trying to make money but are also having fun.

I miss fun! I think we all miss fun!

I'm not a huge fan of the first dress, but it's very true to Barbie!

I LOVE the black dress and the pink suit set is adorable.

I think Margot Robbie is so gorgeous. Love her.

Same. I was excited to see it until I couldn’t avoid it being EVERYWHERE.
