maybe the latter should join the waitlist like we did? just a thought

The majority black county should join a waitlist?

Yes. The wait list is open to the public. Anyone can join. It currently does not discriminate in any way.

The pool is located at the meeting point of three jurisdictions: DC, PG and Montgomery county, just blocks away from the border of each. Thus it draws people from all over.

PG Pool is the epitome of hypocritical white, privileged, progressives. It's really gross.

So what do you propose as the most equitable way to manage membership other than open to anyone? And, I assume you think all pools operating in the manner of PG pool are wrong?

People in PG County should be thanking us for saving this pool from bankruptcy.

And maybe they can clean up all the corruption and crime over there too.

So, your proposal is to tax all private pools.

its crazy. We need more pools in the area. I got an email from PG Pool with my updated wailist number. I am now #35. When I did I join the waitlist?-2017
So you are likely not getting in and now I doubt we would use the pool if we ever did get in.
I heard folks are able to get into the Adelphi pool though, so look into that.

PG county demographics are not uniformly distributed. There is also a large Hispanic population. The NW and eastern part of the county is very different from middle, southern and western parts.

We belong to BelAir Bath and Tennis. We live in Bowie but Im pretty sure they have memberships available and the pool was just re-done. They have swim and tennis, pickleball, volleyball, a playground, a large baby pool with a slanted entrance, and also gated.

That's why most of your neighbors are at my pool in Bowie.

This private pool is helping Mount Rainier's economy. They should be thanking us for injecting capital into their community.

The arrogance of those who think they are entitled to join a private pool is the epitome of arrogance.

The arrogance of out of state pool members who are shocked there’s a petition circulating around town to tax this private pool.

So, whoever decides to buy private property in PGC must understand that all others in PGC are entitled to use that property simply because they want to. Get a life!!
