Riley Gaines attacked after Saving Women's Sports speech at SF State Univ

None of the trans rights organizations are condemning the behavior. Of course, we all knew they wouldn’t. They believe Riley Gaines is just a biological woman and therefore deserves all the violence she gets.

But its not 8 athletes.....its 8 athletes competing against hundreds of female athletes.

I think the problem is even these "8" have an outsized number reaching the top in women's sports when the whole point of Title IX was to allow women to have actual competitive sports where they can reach their max potential. Even in the Olympics, a 45 year old trans woman was able to compete in weightlifting. She didn't win but it's certainly not at all possible for an amateur weightlifting female to transition to a man at 45 and then make the men's US weightlifting team over 20 year olds.

It amateur sport. There are 220,000 women college “athletes”. In the general population 0.6% identify as transgender. There should be 1,300 trans athletes in college sports. There are 32 tran athletes in college. Two have made the Olympics this cycle.

If you want to make to Olympics or a college team preform better. The bottom of the rosters are the ones getting cut but the number is way way under 1%. This is not an issue.

If it is a non-issue, why are they beating up this female swimmer over it? Seems like it's enough of an issue to the trans community to engage in violence against anyone who offers a contrary opinion.

Let’s be clear: They are physically assaulting a female athlete because that athlete is female and has opinions. This is a violent misogynist movement whose end goal is the subjugation of women.

It is an issue if you are the one bumped out by a trans woman.

You've left out the high school kids. I think it was two trans runners that knocked out biological girls in CT
And, there is also professional sports- a transwoman won a big golf tournament in Australia.

Nothing is keeping Lia Thomas from swimming. But, "winning" as a woman is ridiculous.

Just as it is ridiculous for transwomen to win "women of the year" awards when they have not had to deal with the same issues as biological women. Example: Rachel Levine.

There are 220,000 spots for women athletes and only 32 trans athlete. The majority of the 32 are not really that good. If you lose your spot to a tran athlete chances are you would lose it to someone else. College athletics are not really that elite. If you want to play and are a decent athlete you can play. You know this but you just do not like trans. It has to be much harder to be a trans woman vs being a “biological” woman. A trans woman has to deal with everything a woman deals with plus people like yourself. No one is under going trans procedure to play amateur sports.

This is specially true in high school and middle school. Let them play and feel apart of a team.

There was a trans kid in my DD class. She caught all kinds of sh#t from people like you. She ended up killing herself. Her parents who were outspoken feminist were devastated. Go push your feminist agenda to her parents. See what that gets you.

The women athletes have to get used to sharing locker rooms and showers with men.

Disagree. And the videos posted-at least the couple I’m seeing-are showing shouting and getting close to her but I didn’t see violence. Maybe I haven’t clicked the right link. I’m surprised the man who tried to murder her (according to a PP) hasn’t been identified yet.

Why do transphobes insist trans women are trying to take away women’s rights but are fine with conservatives actually taking away women’s reproductive rights? I don’t get it. Winning at sportsball isn’t a right. Not being forced to have a baby for whatever reason is.

I want to see trans men Start playing women’s professional soccer and see if anyone cares that in a year or two there will not be any born female players in the league because they cannot make a team.

Trans men are born female. I don’t understand your point.

I used to say that women should just refuse to compete in events where biological men are competing as women.... until....

A Vermont HS basketball team did just that.
Now, the Vermont Principals' Association, the governing body of sports in Vermont, have banned them from competing in future activities and tournaments.
Absolutely ludicrous.

These people are unhinged. The university should expel them.

This is the reason that Judge Duncan at Stanford at Stanford, but people framed it as him "asking for a fight".

If there wasn't film of this event, would those same people believe Gaines if she had reported events?

liberal here and 100% against both. furthermore, there are not enough studies to determine the proper age for transitioning nor whether the risk of not being able to transition/transitioning as an adult outweighs the risks of transitioning at a younger age
for almost every aspect of medicine, we have not allowed the ethics portion to catch up
these are not easy topics to discuss but by-and-large biological women are being pushed out of their own spaces for transfemales, regardless of when they transitioned.
