This. Also, the boy had a Nintendo and appeared to be occupied so the mom was making a huge fuss for no reason. Also, as everyone knows, if you make a big deal out of something, the kids will want to see/watch it even more. Mom handled it poorly.

Mom should be parenting, OP. It is not up to the rest of the plane to parent some kid.

Oh, what a supreme PITA that mother is - good luck to those kids!

Having said that, he has a right to watch what he wants and the mom was wrong, and yes I’m a parent.

Most Delta flights do not have that much privacy. Even first class.

I’ve been watching movies on the in-flight entertainment and have had to fast forward through nude scenes. I’m always surprised they’re not edited out. That said, it’s life. The mom over-reacted. The man was right to ignore.

There would be very few choices without sex and gore. Including the news. I watch a daytime soap opera at night and my kids have walked in during questionable scenes. Can't shield them from everything!

I’m team mom. Kids should not be exposed to scary, violent, or sexually inappropriate scenes on the plane. You can’t control who sits next to or in front of you so be thoughtful and aware of who is around you. This guy can watch something else.

Or she can drive next time.

Yup - the world will never revolve around you, and the sooner the parents know, the better off the kids will be.

The mom was wrong. If I’m sitting next to a child, I’m likely skipping some nude scenes. But in another row? Heck no. Mind your own business.

It's just a boob! Does this mom never change in front of her kids? I guess my older 2 see me breastfeeding too.

I would have an issue with sex.

You’ve obviously not watched The Sopranos. It’s a great show but it is not something young children should watch.

Those of you telling the mom to drive are exactly the kind of self-centered a-holes that are ruining society. Congratulations for being proud Neanderthals, I guess. Low class, self-centered idiots.

Actually, I was thinking this about OP - er, "the mom" - but you put it so nicely, PP..........

Pretty sure the self-centered, low class, a-hole, idiot in this story is the mom.

But I've definitely seen scenes on international flights on other people's screens that made me uncomfortable when I was a child, and make me uncomfortable for today's children now.

Yes, me too, on all of it. My parents were really strict conservative immigrants and there is no way they would have said anything. They expected me to read and a book and keep my head turned. (And I remember the old days when there was one big screen in front of each section). For my own kids, when they were little, we had out own screens, but now I would expect them to find something on their small screen or read a book.

And she can change seats which she was offered. She refused. This is on her
