JMU boosters trying so hard. It’s a fine school. Just not better than 1000 other schools for most people. Nice to have choices.

Recognition does not correlate with education

I’m going to guess the 25 percent of students from out of state would disagree.

How many are from states that don’t share a border with Virginia?

JMU

IU is located in the state of Indiana.

Good luck with that. Parents are so dumb.

IU Bloomington is more liberal than JMU and Bloomington is 1000 percent more liberal than the area surrounding JMU. If that’s where you were going with that comment.

And JMU is in a random mountain town in central Va, not a world city.

I can only conclude that that poster has never been to IU. When my sibling was there, there was a literal tent city of kids camping out for world peace. For months at a time. With camp stoves. And the school was fine with it. IU is liberal!

^^^ it was a very clean and respectful campsite/protest for parents who may be concerned

You do realize that most Americans look at Virginia as a southern state.

I received BS and MS degrees from IU. I admit I have never been to JMU, but IU is a great place. So much spirit, very good departments like business, music. And Midwest friendly.

How does this improve the educational quality of IU for the average undergraduate?
