Why do you let your daughter have long scraggly hair?

I am going to go out on a limb and say that you probably don't bother taking any pride in your own appearance either. Your poor little daughter probably takes one look at your ugly Chico's clothes and bi-level haircut and figures she shouldn't even bother trying to fix herself up.

People, people, OP is messing with you. C'mon! It's funny.

I'm sorry, but I will state again, I don't think she's trying to be funny.

Really??? I suppose you dont bathe your child either. It takes about 2 minutes to braid my daughter's hair. No I am not involved in pageants but I do think that taking pride in one's appearance is an important value to teach and as a parent you need to lead by example. Maybe if so many of you were not of geriatric age or have spit out too many kids you could find the time for your daughters.

Of course I don't bathe them! Hell, I'm 58 years old and just popped out my 17th kid - now I'm expected to bathe the little monsters?!

There are alot of little girls out there with hair that is too long...no body and unhealthy looking in general. Is it too much to ask that people braid or put their daughters hair up in a ponytail?

Yes, it IS too much to ask, if you are asking me to braid my daughter's hair to please YOU. MYOB!!

OP, you really are trying to start a fight aren't you? You are in serious need of help if THIS is what you find important. Why don't you take some of your energy and start a non-profit to help those whose hair is unruly? Maybe it'd help you find some peace. You need it.

I do find it funny that you all jump on someone who is showing a little bra strap, wears DANSCO (sp?) clogs or God forbid allows her child to swim in a bikini but think it is wrong for someone to suggest that your brush and maintain your child's hair.

OP, you sound just like my mother. The two of us don't speak now. Her constant insistence that I look perfect all the time eventually destroyed our relationship.

OP, I take off my Troll Diadem to you. That geriatric taunt was the stuff of brilliance. You are an instigator's fantasy. Bravo!

Oh, not to mention it ruined my childhood. Good luck with that.

Jeff's vow of silence on sock puppets and trolls has obviously given some folks lots of projects. I wonder why they spend their time this way?

Oh, and we're so much better because we're only reading the crap? We're all a bunch of idiots.

My daughter's dream to have hair as long as Repunzel. She's not quite there yet, but at least she has goals in life.
