Why do you let your daughter have long scraggly hair?

Why do some parents insist on letting their daughter's hair grow so long and scraggly? Don't you take pride in your child's appearance? Either brush the poor girls hair, put it up, or cut it shorter. It looks trashy!! And don't tell me your DD doesn't like getting her hair fixed. YOU are the parent!

Personally, I do it specifically to annoy OP. In fact, I had my daughter for the express purpose of growing her hair long and scraggly so OP would be tormented.

Why don't you come over and brush her hair for me?
It doesn't bother us. But if it's so terrible to the point that you have to turn on your computer and use your precious time to talk about it here I'd give in and let you fix it. Just so you can feel better.

OP, why did your parents insist on letting you grow up to be a total jackass?

OP, why do you care? Get a life.

OP, I have no idea why some parents do this. My perfectly-groomed children always look like they just stepped out of the J. Crew catalog. Never a hair out of place at our house - I'm the parent and I simply don't allow it.

And why do some of you allow your children to go outdoors? Don't you know they'll get dirty? And that just looks trashy!

OP here.. I am sure you all are being so sensitive because your daughters look like trashy little ragamuffins. I am going to go out on a limb and say that you probably don't bother taking any pride in your own appearance either. Your poor little daughter probably takes one look at your ugly Chico's clothes and bi-level haircut and figures she shouldn't even bother trying to fix herself up.

good grief. I am a parent of a little girl with curly, rowdy hair. And I can't do anything with it. If she even lets me fix it, or put it up (hahaha), it's right back down just minutes later, cause she pulls everything out. bands, clips, bobby pins, it doesn't matter. We brush it twice a day, I cut her bangs some nights when I can manage to wrestle her and it's desperately needed. But I am not cutting those curls in the back off. No way. Take that, jerky.

HA! I bet OP is fat and wears a lot of make up every day. She's the lady we see at the grocery store with the big fake lashes with flakes all over. And the big yellow hair with dark roots. LOL

Oops, meant PP. OP is probably that mom who is giving her kid a complex about her hair.

There are alot of little girls out there with hair that is too long...no body and unhealthy looking in general. Is it too much to ask that people braid or put their daughters hair up in a ponytail?

Do you have a daughter? Or do you have sons?
