OP, why do you let your DD have "plain" looking hair? Are you afraid of looking "plain"? This has NOTHING to do with my DD obviously. Get some help, will you? |
Rompers. Lol. Lawn jockeys too? |

To all the Chico's haters....
I don't shop at Chico's, HOWEVER, where are all these fashionista police hiding? I drive clear across the city every morning and every afternoon to and from work. I do a lot of people watching. I pretty much NEVER see fashionable women roaming the streets. Where are you hiding? |
Are monograms bad? I think they're adorable and I'm not from the south (NJ here). |
|
Monograms on girls is cute; on boys it is gay. I am sure I will get a bashing but I can take it.
Those smocked outfits have to be ordered from South Carolina or Alabama because no one in their right mind in any actual city would dress their son like that. |
| 09:51 -- you do realize there are "actual" cities in both South Carolina and Alabama, right? (Before you throw the "southern" card at me, I was born and raised in this area.) |
| Oh...and I didn't even touch on your use of the word "gay"....however, I am sure that there is nothing I can say to you that will change your small minded ways. I do hope you are not teaching your children the same things. |
| I am sorry but rompers and 4 year olds that are scared of Clifford show that many of you who have boys are raising a generation of sissys |
Oh - so once you leave Chico's with your Fabulous and 40 outfit, you can walk around the corner to dye the gray? |
Yes the epitomes of fashion and culture like Charleston or Mobile where people actually put monograms on their car.....ICK! |
Or dye the tips turquoise. Or get an up do to go with your tiara. |
My 2 year old is wearing rompers this summer (prob last summer for it). I laugh thinking about my 4-year old in a romper. He's always been 99% height, 97% weight...so he looks like your average 6 or 7-year old. If I could even find a romper to fit him he'd look "special" in one. |

My husband had a monogrammed red sweater for his 4th grade picture!!! It was wicked awesome!
Would a "'romper" be the equivalent of a sundress (or a "moo-moo" as I call them)? If so, then I want several of them. I wear sundresses all summer long and I am always on the lookout for new dresses. Maybe I haven't quite outgrown my 3 year old girl stage... My daughter is the girl who dyed her tips of her hair turquoise. I'll always allow my child to have her own sense of style (within reason, abviously). I don't want her to feel like she has to look like every other 14 year old girl that she sees. I don't see how a person's hair color indicates trashiness. I don't see how trashiness is determined by hair messiness either. All that tells me is that a person is just having a bad hair day. |
I completely agree. Nothing wrong with a 0-2 year old boy in a monogrammed romper or "John John" as they are sometimes called (named for little John Kennedy Jr.'s - he wore them a lot!) Much older than that looks a little silly - plus anything like that is impractical once you start potty training. To me, plaid and seersucker is way more appropriate for a baby boy than some of the ugly screen printing stuff I've seen (skull & crossbones? come on Gymboree, I'm disappointed in you...) |
I am going to fancy a guess here that you are from some podunk town in NC and are trying to hide it by equating john-john wearing to JFK. No one believes you are from the Cape or the Vineyard or Newport. John Johns are cute on a baby, but once your baby is mobile (no longer a baby) gingham, seer sucker and pastels make him look like a sissy. Perhaps you should ask your husband or has he been completely emasculated by you too? |
