Why do you not use your turn signal?

In Mississippi no car is equipped with turn signals or windshield wipers.

I've noticed lately cars driving with their turn signal on. How do you not notice the tick tick tick noise?!

Maryland drivers. They either don't signal at all, or do and leave it on.

Wrong. In Maryland it is the law.

The use of turn signals is required by MD law; though not stringently enforced. To your question, it's just good practice to use turn signals, even if you are the only car on the road for miles; because the one time you don't signal, Murphy will rear his head and something not good is gonna happen. JMHO

This may be me. I try to watch it, but the heat/ac in my car (Ford Fiesta) is very loud and the turn signal is very quiet. Sometimes I don’t hear the ticking.

People don't use their turn signals when switching lanes because others actively speed up to prevent you from switching lanes when you let them know you want to switch.

I will sometimes not use my turn signal if I need to make an immediate turn and there are no other cars close-by.

But this is very rare.

I prefer to err on the side of caution - especially since I have blind spots and no backup camera.
