Y'all funny lol |
| Walking only zones like in many European cities. |
|
1. Bury all power lines
2. Change cement slab streets to paved 3. Brick sidewalks with granite curbs |
You are acting like a dictator. |
|
1. Fewer cars
2. Fewer cars 3. Fewer cars. |
|
Agree with fewer cars. Make the city more walkable and bikeable.
More parks. No more homeless encampments. |
I agree with top 2 points, but dont think that number 3 is required. There are already too many public art. However, I would like to see new builds to have artisitic elements in it that gells well with the beauty of historical DC. 1. Remove the litter and trash, homeless and tents, trap and exterminate the rats. 2. More and better trained police force (And I am a hardcore minority Democrat). Crackdown hard on the dirt bike/4 wheelers and gangs of teens who beat up and terrorize people. Remove graffiti, paint the shabby exteriors of all homes. For FFS this is the capital of USA. 3. Historical residential areas should be maintained and their historical exterior characteristics should be preserved for the existing structire. New builds should be a replica of historical building exteriors. |
| Get rid of bike lanes. |
| more trees. fewer popups/popbacks |
Strongly agree with #1 and #2. Disagree with #3. I live in a historical neighborhood with brick sidewalks and it is terrible. Tree roots buckle the sidewalk making it impassable for people with a stroller, wheelchair, or the disabled. Massive dips and bumps that send kids flying off their bikes or push scooters. Brick sidewalks should be a relic of history. They only work in areas not adjacent to trees. |
What |
|
1. Get rid of the surface parking all around the Capitol and replace most of it with mixed use buildings.
2. More restaurants and shopping on the Mall that are open past 5pm. 3. Deck over and develop the Potomac Freeway, the Southwest Freeway, and the rail tracks North of Union Station. DC is already a very beautiful city, but it needs more work to draw people into the architectural core of the city and make those spaces more vibrant. |

Redevelop Chinatown
Gentrify Ward 7 & 8 Build more parks |
| Bury the power lines. |

It's already pretty nice. Hard to think of many prettier big cities.
Less crime would be nice. Lower taxes too. Would also be great if the subway was semi-reliable and if they could improve traffic congestion. |
