DC is already one of the most beautiful, clean, and green cities in the US. It has a much higher percentage of tree canopy than pretty much any major urban city.
Of course, it could always provide for more litter collection. But compared to streets in NYC, you can practically eat off the sidewalk in DC. I’d love to see ugly, architecturally incongruous pop-ups get banned. To add a vinyl or aluminum siding-clad Lego box on top of a historical rowhouse is just a travesty. |
