Half of the land in Singapore is green space.

DC is not even close and more density would make it worse, not better.

2. Metro back to every 3-5 minutes
3. Huge investment in children--health, poverty reduction, trauma therapy, education and extracurriculars, parenting classes, postnatal home visits, vocational ed, etc.

I'd reluctantly replace #2 with more trees/green space/health clinics and grocery stores in Wards 7 & 8 but only because a more reliable won't beautify the city but it will make it a better city.

having excellent metro means more people out walking and fewer cars, which I think is more beautiful

Eliminate approximately half of the road surface area that is primarily/exclusively for car use - eliminate some street parking, reduce or narrow travel lanes, and increase pedestrian/bike friendly infrastructure. Cars are ugly, smelly, polluting, and dangerous.
