Do you live in a red state?

Not PP but I live in Virginia so it depends on how the governor decides the wind is blowing and whether parents are still angry at teachers.

Will always depend on opinion. And not the doctor's opinion but now, a legal opinion. So that means delay.

right? I cannot believe I have to worry about this nonsense. I have a teen - she shouldn't be at the whim of idiots who fall for BS like CRT and are big mad about masks.

Republicans don’t have slutty sex so they won’t ever have a miscarriage. DUH. Science.

+1. Only dirty, dirty sluts could ever need an abortion. That’s what the mentality boils down to. And dirty, dirty sluts deserve what they get.

I find it utterly fascinating that only democrats refer to women as sluts.

We’re mocking the forced birthers. That forced birther woman literally spoke in front of congress and claimed that what the 10 year girl was seeking wasn’t an abortion and evangelicals have been claiming that ectopic pregnancy treatment isn’t abortion. A person only makes that kind of insane and incorrect claim when one is drawing a distinction between “good” women and “bad” women and the resulting classification of the kind of care they need.

“The only moral abortion is my abortion.”

And now there are a few women on ECMO across the country. Because the cruelty is the point. Because women aren’t people in the GOP.

I mean thats what my Republican, Conservative, Catholic family calls women who have sex outside of marriage. Never their sons though. "Boys will be boys".....

You completely missed the point. The PP was mocking you pro-lifers.
The raped 10-year-old was certainly not a slut. A married mom with an ectopic pregnancy is not a slut.
But you smooth-brained pro-lifers act like every person needing an abortion is an irresponsible "slut" who simply should have just kept her knees together.

Not as fascinating as the fact that republicans don’t think pregnancy kills or maims women.

Can you hold a conference or event in TX if pregnant women in your organization or group feel they cannot attend because they could not get appropriate, life saving medical care in an emergency? I’m past child bearing years. But if I were pregnant looking at this, I wouldn’t travel to TX or Ohio if pregnant. What if I had a miscarriage or a placental abruption or my membranes break on the trip? I couldn’t go to the hospital and get the nationally accepted standard of care. Holding the event there would be pregnancy/sex discrimination.

Remember NC and the transgender bathroom bill? That’s where we are headed with red states that don’t adequately protect the health and life of the mother. No conventions, meetings etc that could include women of childbearing age. When my organization plans it’s next major meeting, I will be very vocal about it being somewhere where our pregnant employees can get adequate healthcare in a medical emergency.

+1 I would not want anyone dear to me who is pregnant to be in these states, as a resident or visitor. What if they miscarry? I know so many friends/family members who have miscarried and needed a D&C. Thankfully, they all live in blue states.

If I were pregnant, I would not want to be in those states. I can't imagine a husband who loves his wife would want them there, either.

Affluent women will want to deliver elsewhere. The top quality care is not going to be in red states.

But it's not just delivery. It's the potential of miscarrying and then being in a situation like the one in the article.

It's like we've gone back 200 years where being pregnant would easily lead to death for the mother. Parts of the country are determined to be backwards.

I really do think we need to reassess whether the forced birthers are of sound enough mind to continue voting, driving, or basically doing anything else without a conservator. It seems like their brains just melt and drip out of their ears at the mention of “ten tiny toes”. Not sane.

The scary part is, a lot of them have guns.
