Claire because we grew up in the 80s and hence the movie line "Claire is a fat girl's name."

Eleanor is "too old fashioned."

I was high on Eleanor/Ellie too. Didn’t register with my spouse.

Ha I liked Dylan for a girl and my husband was very “um Dylan’s a boys name”. We had a boy and did NOT name him Dylan.

My favorite name has always been Melanie. What are the chances that I fall in love with a guy who’s very serious exgirlfriend’s name was Melanie? Veto.

I really liked Zachary/Zach and Nathaniel/Nate, both were vetoed by my husband. And, I also vetoed some of his choices (eg, Sean - we're a Jewish family, just didn't work for me)

You’re so silly. Do you really think there are objectively good names and terrible names? It’s all fad and individual taste.

90’s TV ran deep in DH’s consciousness too when it came to choosing names.

Zoe.

Our oldest child’s name starts with an “A”, and we knew our youngest would be our last, so…A to Z.

Vetoed with extreme prejudice.
