How many rounds do you think you need in a clip to protect them? How many rounds did that kid in Texas have? If you’re NRA, you’d better get them to start making some concessions, because this mom here (and many others) are coming for them. To protect MY kids. |
I tell you what - the dynamic has flipped - there is NO limit to what I'll pay to make sure my kids are never in the situation those kids were. If the "law and order" brigade won't comply to a reinstated assault weapons ban they'll have to face much bigger consequences than whatever fear they are currently living in. I'd vote for making buy-back fair - price paid plus inflation to 2022. Value of buyback would decline over time. |

"Price paid plus inflation" is not going to get the guns back. You said there is no limit to what you'd pay---there are parents who are gun owners that feel the same way. |
Shame of the nation that s right. Would love to know who the large private donors that give the NRA so much money are. I would like to ban their businesses and hit them where it hurts. |
If we decline to be “political” then this is what we get. |
Lol, I'm not the NRA. I honestly have no idea how many rounds someone would need, and also have no idea how many rounds that kid in Texas had. I do wonder where an 18 year old part time fast food worker got the money for all of that. I also know that people who feel strongly about their right to own a weapon are not going to give it up for "purchase price plus inflation." How will you and other moms "come for" these guns? Are you planning to break into the homes of people you think have them? |
Please don’t speak for all gun owners. I refuse to believe responsible gun owners would not agree that some reform s necessary. No automatic assault rifles. Background checks, training. We can agree on this. |
You’re right. What do I do? Seriously. I signed some petitions online today, I gave $100. I want to do more. Let’s organize!!! |
m I’m fighting for reforms. |
A gun buy back is voluntary - maybe some thoughtful gun owners would be willing to part with their ARs for a price, knowing that they will be sued into oblivion if their AR is used in a crime due to their negligence. They can keep their handguns. |
Responsible gun owners want common sense regulation. Only a minority of the country want these LARP-er weapons like the AR-15 to be freely available to any madman who wants one. The greatness of this country is it can change based on the will of the people. We gave woman right to vote, abolished slavery, gave civil rights, but a man on the moon. The mood has changed - look at NRA-funded apologists like Cruz - they know the tide has turned and they won't be able to distract with doors or cowardly police - he is smart and already working how to exploit this by stoking and monetizing fear in the minority that now feels the tide of public opinion turn against them. |
Why do you assume that the large private donors own businesses? |
I'm not a gun owner. |
Elon Musk should fund reinstatement of the assault weapons ban and laws requiring training/liability insurance for all other gun owners - rather than trying to buy Twitter. He'd be a national hero. |
