I don't know who this person is and I don't know what YT is, and I don't feel any particular need to find out. If Bill Maher likes him, I assume he's a bit of a pig.

. the cover model is 38:52 or 0.73 waist to hip ratio.

In today's world, everyone is a winner, donchaknow. Forget standards, we can't have hurt feelings.

It's as if you slept through art history 101.

The average age of the women depicted is probably <20 years/old. It's easier to be cute and chubby when you're young but what they don't tell you is everything falls apart at a certain age.

The woman Jordan Petersen is criticizing is 25 years old. She's not old. Jeez.

All of the models in these paintings were no doubt dead before 45.

If anyone wants to be serious for a second part of the reason these women are depicted as being larger is because if you could gain weight you were considered healthy and fertile ie no parasites or diseases making you gaunt and stopping you from carrying a baby. Carrying extra weight also meant that you had money and usually came from a higher class which were the people supporting the arts. These depictions in part reflected the bodies of the artists patrons.

So the SI model isn't overweight, she's just out of date?

Jordan is not wrong. His comment could be interpreted as conveying a personal opinion or an observation of statistical significance to the general population. He is, after all, a clinical psychologist. That there are people who was have found the model to be beautiful does not change the fact that she is obese to an unhealthy level and not attractive to most men.

Speak for yourself. I think Yumi Nu (yes, she has a name) is gorgeous.

We are talking about Jordan Peterson's tweet, which was either about his own view or an observation about what most men find attractive (slender) vs non-attractive (not slender). What you and I think is irrelevant.

She's young and has enough collagen where everything is "held" somewhat in place. In 20 years as the collagen breaks down that level of BMI leads to flabby skin aprons (which despite almost nobody finding attractive, have medical issues of their own).

In 20 years her face will still look good, while the twig's faces will look like wrinkly prunes.
