Peterson has been on Bill Maher a couple of times. He says he is against “wokeism.” Apparently, he felt the need to express his dislike of one of the plus size SI swimsuit models. What I find interesting is as a psychologist, he should know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder! We aren’t all attracted to the same person. Well, of course, twitter flipped out on him. So he left. Lol.

Weird side note about Peterson: I started watching him a bit on YT because I knew he had a bad rep with feminists and wanted to see him in action after watching him on Bill Maher, where he came off as reasonable. I found it fascinating that the YT algorithms have him as a gateway to incel content and extreme right stuff. My YT feed was filled with it. I spent about a week clicking dislike to get that crap out of my feed. Stupid algorithms!

My eye tells me that woman is too fat for me to find beautiful. But I find no fault in others who find her beautiful.

I'm sure there are women who I find beautiful who others don't. And that's ok too.

No one buys SI to oogle obese models. It is absurd and pushing the concept that society should tolerate obesity. Hell no. Obesity is horrible. It highly correlated with everything from diabetes, cancer, and heart disease to Alzheimer's and nearly every other major syndrome.

OP here. While I absolutely think obesity it unhealthy, the average American is overweight. It’s already normalized. Media is just being more representative of normal women. Fat guys and old guys have always been portrayed in media. Just look at the new Top Gun. The female characters were excluded because they got old and “not hot”.

What are your thoughts on Peterson as a YT gateway to incel and white supremacy content?

An utterly moronic take. He never mentioned obesity or unhealthy lifestyle or anything like that. All he said was "not beautiful." Believe what you want about the model (although I don't get why a supposedly intelligent man would think whether or not he has a boner is an interesting thing to broadcast), but he absolutely attacked her looks.

Agree! Not sure why he felt the need to share he wasn’t attracted to her. I see photos all the time but do not feel the need to tell everyone that Paul Rudd is hot AF but Brad Pitt isn’t. No one cares!

He said his opinion as he’s entitled to do. He’s right, she’s fat and it’s not acceptable to model that as an ideal body type. It was no where near attractive. But the fat acceptance crowd don’t like to hear that their condition is one of choice.

Peterson is a great man but he could have left this one alone as there was no need to comment on it as it added no value to any discourse.

You aren't very knowledgeable. Also this discussion never centers around overweight women. Ogre looking men expect women to be beautiful to exist in this world. It offends the eye of these men when women don't alter their looks to please them.
