American here. Agreed. Watching Fox news and the refrain is (of course) - 'its not the gun's fault, its the person who held the gun'.

Here's a thought? Take the assault weapons out of the individual's hand. If you allow a person to handle weapons of war, they should be charged prohibitive insurance per weapon and if their registered assault weapon is used in a offensive mass shooting - every adult registered in their household should be charged with conspiracy to commit murder.[/quote]

PP here. I'm not ignoring it. He's a white supremacist and is already been charged under the federal hate crimes law which can bring a death sentence. I think that's appropriate. State and legislative leadership is not shying away from the fact that this is a racially-motivated and a racial hate shooting. Unlike the mass shooting in Georgia when neither the local community nor the state pushed for federal hate crime charges.[/quote]
