Why is the Press Rooting Against Biden?

I do not see the media as against biden at all; he is just a really old dude and a below average president at best.
He has no new ideas, inflation is terrible, And our southern border is chaos. There is nothing positive so far in his term so not much to report on.

Finally, someone sane. So funny how OP et al spent four years enthusiastically and gleefully criticizing Trump - and took great pleasure in the media soon the same. But all of a sudden, it’s just so “unfair” that the media criticizes Biden?? Too funny. Yes, this thread is a joke, as are the posters whining about the media.

The author of that piece died a few days later.

Oh, that's awful! Here's an article about the death of Eric Boehlert in a bike crash last week

Yep. To maintain a veneer of neutrality and balance, the press constantly minimizes Republican scandals and misadventures and makes mountains out of molehills for issues facing Democrats. #bothsides!

They did the same to Hillary with "bUT hER eMAiLzzz!!!!"

And look at where we are now - instead we got Trump, with far bigger and far worse scandals than emails.

Yet the dishonest media remains shameless.

Seriously. How much press did the Bill Clinton/Loretta Lynch tarmac meeting get?

But you've got the wife of a Supreme Court justice plotting with the WH Chief of Staff during a coup attempt and the President's son doing the same and it's ho-hum. It really is amazing.

The tarmac meeting that ended up netting no one anything, just the mere glance at impropriety was enough to send the media into paroxysms of pearl clutching. Now there’s a clearly compromised SCJ and the media couldn’t care less if they tried.

Like the GOP hasn’t practically made working the refs into the stations of the cross.

Exactly. They know the Ds won't say a thing about it.

The empty shelves, more Covid deaths than Trump, crime wave, world war 3 situation isn’t helping either.

What empty shelves?

PP is confused; they think it’s spring 2020.

Anyone tried to buy a car recently?

Car price problems are because the rental companies haven't been refreshing their fleets as frequently as they did before the pandemic. But of course somehow that's Biden's fault too.

I’m wondering if this was really “just a freak accident”.

I doubt it.

Actually it’s because of a chip shortage.

Regardless, the press is going hard on Biden who is actually just trying to fix the mess the GOP left. The corporate media is GOP-owned and GOP-friendly. Unlike the far right reaches of the GOP propaganda wing, it’s reality based, but it manages to not name reality. Framing is always GOP friendly and the way that the GOP likes it. Talking heads and guests are way more likely to be right wingers, even when they’re billed as neutral experts.

And this is the way Republicans like it.

It’s astounding to come across somebody this unintelligent and ill-informed. Only on DCuM.

Except that most of what they criticized Trump for was not only glaringly true but in many cases being understated by the media. As opposed to the "bUT hEr EmAiLs!" treatment they are back to with Biden, blaming him for things that he inherited from Trump and so on.

This has to be a joke.

The mainstream media is basically an extension of the Democratic Party. The amount of word salad that comes out of Biden and Harris’s mouths is overwhelming, literally every time one of them makes an unscripted comment the administration needs to come up with corrections, which are parroted by the MSM immediately without question.

The country is falling apart due to this relationship and until the media can return to some kind of truth in reporting, things will continue to fall.
