Why IS the press rooting against Biden? Is it just that bad news sells more than good news?

They get lots of pressure from the constant right wing media attacks and it is easier to go after Biden/democrats because they do not fight back. |

The media is largely held by billionaires/corporations. They want what the GOP is selling. I think they’re hoping for some Man in the High Tower world.
But either way it’s disingenuous for Republicans to be “BiDeN’s DoWn In ThE pOlLs” when that’s how the corporate media wants it. They went hard on Biden starting in summer 2021. |

Yep. To maintain a veneer of neutrality and balance, the press constantly minimizes Republican scandals and misadventures and makes mountains out of molehills for issues facing Democrats. #bothsides! |

They did the same to Hillary with "bUT hER eMAiLzzz!!!!" And look at where we are now - instead we got Trump, with far bigger and far worse scandals than emails. Yet the dishonest media remains shameless. |

And with Hillary, the alleged concern was mishandling of classified documents. Turns out she handled it appropriately. Donald, on the other hand, literally stole classified documents and was not remotely keeping them safe. Hardly a peep. |

That's true, but it creates an unbalanced situation. First, Democrats don't have a propaganda machine like the GOP does. Republican voters only hear positive news from their propaganda. Fox won't report bad things at all or, if it really can't ignore it, will spin it as hard as it can and lie shamelessly. So no matter how badly Republicans behave, they never face a backlash from their own voters. Second, and related, the mainstream media feels like it has to "both sides" everything to maintain balance. But republicans behave much worse than Democrats because they know they face no consequences from their own voters because of their propaganda machine. The media then hypes up every little bad thing that Democrats do in an effort to maintain the appearance of balance, which causes them to skew right as well. |

Is this thread a joke? The press had a 4 year feeding frenzy on trump. Their ratings were through the roof.
I do not see the media as against biden at all; he is just a really old dude and a below average president at best. He has no new ideas, inflation is terrible, And our southern border is chaos. There is nothing positive so far in his term so not much to report on. |
