| It’s possible but not probable - and definitely not impossible! |
I am another one of the PP's who offered you encouragement. Just to reiterate: if STA WL'd both of your boys, they like your family. I said push hard for Sidwell for your rising 9th Grader because Sidwell WL list is likely to move more than STA. For your 7th grader, if you think STA is a great fit for them, do send a letter or call the AD and express that and say that you will re-apply. STA does not WL kids that, circumstances being slightly different they would not accept in any given year. " 3 year Admissions plan " is very good perspective to take |
I have seen a few sets of brothers admitted. In each case, both boys were fully capable of perhaps being valedictorian of their STA class, perfect 1600 on SAT and taking such advanced Math classes that courses had to be practically created just for them and a few other students |
No we were out right rejected. Twice. As a sibling. |
6 is as few as 5 boys (it was my son's year). 7th was 12. In 6th they are toping off classes. In 7th they add a new class |
It so weird to me that they take more at 7th than 6th. Does that mean they take a lot of kids from public and NPS? I guess other K-8 too? |
Did STA really only have 10 spots for non-boarders in 9th? I feel a little better about my son’s WL! |
