+100. She whispers into the mic for every song. I don't understand the appeal.

Taylor Swift - her music is so boring and so trite
Harry Styles - what is this mess?
Ed Sheeran - I don't really know his music but his face just makes me so angry
Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, everyone who does this lazy style of "music". It's trash.

It sounds like you do not get artists who change up the music scene and push boundaries.

Enjoy your boy bands and standard musical templates.

How old are you? This may be an age thing.

But the treatment of her as a songwriting genius and performer for the ages...is far out of proportion to the actual content of her songs and albums. Not every solid singer/songwriter also has to be held up as some kind of genius.

I used to think this.... But during the pandemic, her albums Evermore and Folklore really hit me perfectly. Now I'm addicted. It's a little more folk/country, but not really pop. If you like Tori Amos, etc I think you might like these albums too.

I mean, if you like post-2000 Tori you might like anything. Otherwise, please don't compare pre-2000 Tori to Taylor Swift ever again. Sacrilege

🤣 Savage but true!

There are artists who push boundaries who are phenomental (Missy Elliott) and artists who push boundaries and are garbage (Kanye)

Sure you can dislike Kanye's antics and personality, but his music is amazing.

As is Taylor, Billie, Dolly, Beyoncé...

+1 Tori Amos is nothing like Taylor Swift. Tori’s music is powerful and has way deeper meaning than Taylor’s bubble gum pop sh#t

I don't get the hype surrounding him either. A lot of people claim he's hot, but he's funny looking. And then there's the whole "he pushes gender norms" thing. OK, he wears some ugly women's clothes someone's great aunt threw out and is labeled a "revolutionary"? LOL please

I can't believe we got this far and Olivia Rodrigo hasn't been mentioned

I can't stand her music. It's so whiny and he voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

You should watch a video of him performing live. He has a lot of charisma and magnetism that doesn't come across if you're just looking at a pic of him dressed up on the red carpet. He's got the "It" factor. I don't love all the clothes he wears but he does combine things in interesting ways and make things that you wouldn't normally see a man wearing look quite attractive.

Katy Perry

Her voice is not great. She's not a dancer (and actually moves in some pretty awkward ways on stage). She's not a songwriter.

hey hey - take that back. Shawn plays multiple instruments and writes his own music. He definitely has talent.

My girls are big fans and I have seen him twice so far. We have tickets to his show this summer.

If you don't like his voice, that's fine. But he definitely has talent and I have no issue with my girls liking him.
