YES. Adele too.

I came here for this one.

I love her voice, but her music is a snoozefest.

I loath her voice and her music.

Prince and DB are innovators of their time, so they are respected inside and outside of the industry.

Bruce Springsteen made literally $500m + from pretending he was a blue collar working man who went to the "fields" or "docks" day after grueling day.

Grateful Dead and Phish I will never understand, but attribute that to my penchant for NOT doing drugs. Pink Floyd is similar, but at least had a concept album or two, to back up their creativity and ability to weave their thoughts and expressions in a symphonic/harmonious manner.

Adele is talented, but all sounds the same to me.

Billie Ellish is monotonous, but creative, at the same time. Easy to respect someone that is different, and not just trying to fill the shoes of Madonna or the like. Similar to Pink and Lady Gaga. You may not appreciate what they do, but they stand out for creative reasons.

Dave Matthews and John Mayer - I don't get them, at all.

Beyonce is nothing without the fan blowing her hair. Same with JLo.

Haven’t read the whole thread but saw Kanye and Billie repeatedly. I guess we are safely out of Coachella’s demographics here at DCUM! I do like Harry Styles though

Kanye - ugh... so forced.. terrible voice

Dave Mathews is terrible!

Taylor. There's a reason her fans are always 10 year girls.

Anonymous wrote:Taylor Swift. The songs are fine, some very catchy, and I get why many girls and young women feel they identify with her via the songs. But the treatment of her as a songwriting genius and performer for the ages...is far out of proportion to the actual content of her songs and albums. Not every solid singer/songwriter also has to be held up as some kind of genius.

This. Also she’s soooooo self righteous.

Coldplay. There are derivative.

Award shows are trash. They pick who they like. Not always someone who is deserving.

Anyone remember when Norah Jones’ Come Away With Me album was the must have CD to have in your collection? Well I bought it and it damn near put me to sleep.

Taylor Swift writes of “kitchen table bills” in All Too Well. I like her music but I don’t like that she pretends to have been unpopular and financially struggling. Her dad is a stock broker. She attended expensive private school.
