wife wants kitchenaid 6 qtr mixer, can only find 5 qtr. good enough?

Your wife will be able to see that it is easily available on Amazon and that you were too lazy to care about her in time to get what she asked for.

6:56 here. On the other hand, I have the 5 and the 6 and much prefer the 5. But they are very different in a lot of ways.

Dad, is that you?

Nobody wants to haul a heavy ass mixer back to the store to get what they want. Buy the right one on Amazon and stick a picture of it under the tree.

Don’t procrastinate next time. My DH rushed through his shopping at Costco yesterday. It sucks. Don’t be like him.

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house
Not a 6 quart was stirring, and husband was a**ed out
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
With hope that a Kitchenaide soon would be there

I was at my sister’s and tried to use her 5 QT one and like PP noted above - it struggled with some of my go-to
Recipes including my 6 cup of flour pizza dough and classic cut out butter cookie recipe. I ended up doing dough by hand and the cookie recipe in two parts. If I asked for the 6 and got the 5 it would be an expensive but then rarely used gift. I’d rather get a ‘it’s on it way’ then ‘oh well I tried.’

She is an adult. Either order it for next week or buy the other with a gift receipt. This is not a big surprise. Next year she might decide to order her item to ensure it's arrival.

I have never understood why people bother to 'exchange' gifts this way with a spouse rather than just buying what they want themselves. The other person is just doing the web tapping

Show that wife you mean business and hook her up with a Hobart. . Get her the 30 or 40.

Why do husbands do this? Are you always inconsiderate?

This thread is funny. 12/24 and my husband is still trying to figure out how to get the present that I asked for (2 months ago, and it can only be ordered from Europe). He'll get me something random that is nice but not what I asked for. I'll give him a hard time, but he'll still get christmas sex.

This would be very funny! The look on her face.

Why do wives ask for very specific items that they could easily buy for themselves? (I’m a wife.) Is the thrill of pulling off wrapping paper really that great?

Her husband probably asked her what she wanted.....and look, even when she tells him exactly, he is trying to giver her something else because he went to ONE store and they didn't have it. This is not a guy who will thoughtfully select a gift.

This reminds me of that 80s movie with Schwarzenegger as the bad dad who forgot to get his kid the hot toy, then he drives all around trying to find it, but can only find the crappy sidekick doll.

Ha, my boys loved that movie!
