7 admissions to Stanford!

It would be helpful to know the denominators on some of these. When will this info be available through Naviance?

Poor things. Maybe they can transfer after the first year.

A bunch to Harvard and Yale too.

Where are you getting all these numbers? 57 for CMU? 7 for Stanford? My DC (TJ senior) claims to only know a handful who got in the former and 1 for the latter. What I have noticed, though, is that it looks like kids are either getting into several top schools or none at all. I've heard stories of kids getting into half the Ivy League while even more kids are getting rejected at all of the T20 - the UCs were pretty tough this year as well. Seems like kids are starting to commit to schools - but not the kids who got into the top schools, because they're having trouble deciding!

TJ has a girls' basketball player headed to Caltech, a swimmer headed to Columbia, a football player headed to UChicago, and another football player headed to MIT. All of them are recruited athletes who are going to the schools to compete.

And all four of those are Asian.

They also have a (non-Asian) girls' T&F star going to Penn as well. Must be a good year for TJ student athletes.

The naysayers don't want to hear it even though an average TJ student would play more sports than your average high school student in FCPS.
